LIFE OF AGONY Sign With EPIC RECORDS? - Sep. 10, 2004
Reunited New York metal band LIFE OF AGONY are rumored to have inked a deal with Epic Records. The group, who were previously signed to the Roadrunner label, will shortly enter the studio to begin recording their first album of new material since 1997's "Soul Searching Sun", tentatively due in early 2005. Songtitles set to appear on the as-yet-untitled effort include "The Day He Died", "Justified", "The Calm That Disturbs You" and "Love To Let U Down".

LIFE OF AGONY's last release was a live album and DVD, entitled "River Runs Again: Live 2003". The two-disc set was recorded during the group's sold-out reunion shows at Irving Plaza in New York City on January 3-4, 2003 and was issued through SPV Records worldwide.

..was a good album.(Metal with a hardcore edge - concept album) The second one started to contain the "pop" aspects that Keith Caputo was into. It was decent. The third album was AWFUL! The solo album released by Keith Caputo after they broke up was sappy, radio friendly, and just not very good at all.

These are just my opinions.

Where were they in 1993 or 1994 when it would've really mattered??? LOA Is a shell of it's former self as it is. What are they going to do?? Record "Soul Searching Sun" part 2???

Finally under a label that may throw some money in promoting the band. LOA rocks and rocks hard. I think its a good time for a new album with the way the music landscape is right now. River Runs Red came out in the last year or so I would think this band would've been huge.

ACE SPACEBEAR..... you surely haven't heard any of there new tunes yet have you. The three tunes I've heard fall directly between RRR and Ugly.

Come on now... those new songs sound nothing like RRR...
I don't have much hope for the new stuff, and I'm sure that Epic will produce an over produced peice of shit so Keith can rap that fuckin purple scarf around his neck and dance like an idiot even more.

COMMENT | Call me crazy but...

I liked LOA better with Whit Crane singing! Don't get me wrong, I liked Caputo ok, but Whit was the shit. Regardless, I look forward to hearing their new stuff.
