SONATA ARCTICA Enter Finnish Album Chart At No. 2

SONATA ARCTICA's "Reckoning Night" has entered the Finish album chart at position No. 2. View the whole chart here. The Finnish melodic metallers' fourth studio album, "Reckoning Night" was recorded at Tico Tico Studio by Ahti Kortelainen during March, April and June 2004 and was mixed at Finnvox Studios by Mikko Karmila. The mastering duties were handled at Finnvox Studios by Mika Jussila in June 2004.

i wish the american music charts were that cool. it's refreshing to see such diversity on the charts...everything from sonata arctica and nightwish to REM and joss stone. here, the charts are oversaturated with unlistenable, cookie-cutter hip hop acts.

Sonata Arctica is badass and hopefully the trend following US turns off mtv for a bit and listens to some very classy/classic music.

My album of the Year!
Sonata is the best band around!, but I don`t hope they get to populair, like Nightwish (wich is still an awesome band btw)

I agree this is the album year. They have never let me down with any of their music. Everysong on the album is very good/excellent and nothing else even came close to it this year. For everyone living in the states like me I suggest you order it online like I did. I only payed 15.95 for this great import. Such an awesome album.

I fucking love that band. Here in the states, the only REAL metal bands that have chart positions are Shadows Fall, Damageplan, and Megadeth. Sweet Jesus, I'm moving to Finland, that does it.

Yes, as everyone has stated and already knows, Sonata Arctica are amazing in every way. They need a US tour with Nightwish or someone like that and they will conquer over here, everyone I have listen to them likes them. Kakko is definately a mastermind. 4 killer albums and no signs of stopping.

It's because they don't sing about dragons and swords and kings, they sing about real life stuff and are great songwriters.
