AEROSMITH Frontman Drops In For Thanksgiving Dinner

The Associated Press is reporting that residents of a Boston facility for women recovering from addictions to drugs and alcohol got an unexpected but welcome Thanksgiving dinner visitor.
AEROSMITH frontman Steven Tyler helped serve lunch to the two dozen women living at Women's Hope in the city's Dorchester neighborhood, then sat down to talk to the women about his own struggles with drugs and alcohol.
"If I can just tell them how good it is for me now, and that it is possible ... then I've done my job," said Tyler, a Boston area resident.
Drugs and alcohol nearly destroyed Tyler's music career, but he has been clean and sober for nearly two decades now and is living proof that addictions can be conquered, he said.
"Letting go and letting God really does work," he said. "I'm a living example."
Tyler's visit was an inspiration to the women at the 28-day residential substance abuse program.
"It was a surprise to all of us, and I think all of us are really excited that somebody cares so much enough to stop by the house and do this for us," said Shannon Holland, a recovering addict.

In Blabberspeak "First post" means "I'm gay". Should you wish to continue on this course you may do so at your own peril. Incidently, adding "beeeyotches" or any of its derivatives after "First post" means "I prefer young virgin boys".
Always happy to assist.
The View.

Irresponsible drug fueled toxic twins brought us Back in the Saddle, Sweet Emotion, Kings & Queens
Drugfree Aerosmith have brought the world anthems such as Pink, Dude looks like a lady, and that damn sleepy love song from the Bruce Willis movie where he and his crew destroy the asteroid.
Here Steve....Take a puff. The 1st bags free

I respect musicians who clean up (which invariably seems to involve "finding God", as if they had misplaced him somewhere?), but sometimes I wish after the sobriety they would also retire, or just release solo records or something. Old Aerosmith is some of the best American rock'n'roll out there, for my money. "Rocks" is a perennial favorite of mine, and you're looking at a dyed-in-the-wool metalhead here (metal in the sense of Obituary, not KISS). Once they cleaned up and hired the outside guns to help gloss up their stuff, they still wrote a few good songs here and there, but it was just such tame, fluffy crap overall. Same with Megadeth, Mustaine wrote his best stuff fucked out his head on heroin.
I'll split the costs with you, G.S., let's buy the guys a fat sack of green and let's see if they don't kick the Dianne Warrens of the world to the curb and write another "Last Child".

....the point is that Steven Tyler went out of his way to help some less-fortunate people. He didn't have to do it. I think it's commendable. There should be more "rock stars" who care about other people besides themselves.

Could you please give David Crosby, Grace Slick, and all the other "sober celebs" out there a call, because I'm tired of them giving recovery a bad name when they constantly fuck-up!!!
