Members of MOTÖRHEAD have issued brief separate statements regarding the death of DAMAGEPLAN/ex-PANTERA guitarist Dimebag Darrell:
Lemmy: "To Vinnie & all concerned: Man, I am so fuckin sorry. You know I loved Dimebag and I'm about as sorry as you can get. Glad you're OK though. If there's anything you need help with, you got my number somewhere, OK.
"Thinking of you."
Phil Campbell: "I'm so sorry, we'll dedicate the set to Dimebag tonight."
Mikkey Dee: "My deepest sympathy to everyone affected by this tragedy."

Man, tomorrow is not promised to us, but it's still so dang shocking and hard to believe. I get on a stage all the time and sing in front of a bunch of metal maniacs. It could have been any of us.

I still dont believe it, i can't comprehend what killing dime would achieve. The logic is just so wrong, he blamed dime for splitting pantera, how does his death help pantera get back together??? Its just beyond wrong.
We are going to see the wildhearts tonight in Glasgow Scotland, we will be drinking in his honour and hopefully the bands will say a little on stage.
We can all sit and mourn the loss and it is a huge loss to the metal world, but in all honesty Dime loved life he loved having a good time, the best way to honour his memory is to crank up your favourite track he played on crack a crate of beer and a bottle of jack! this is how we will be doing it tonight!

Dimebag and Pantera are the reason I got into metal to begin with. A friend played me a Pantera song and I never looked back. Let's all show Dimebag the love our fallen metal brother deserves whether you were a fan of his music or not. To be honest, I haven't been this crushed over a death in the metal world since Chuck Schuldiner died. Both were metal gods and taken before their time. I'll definately be watching HBB tomorrow night.
