JOHNNY RAMONE's Book To See Light Of Day - Dec. 17, 2004
Former RAMONES drummer Marky Ramone has posted the following message on the group's official web site:

"I'm getting letters from fans about Johnny's [Ramone] book (that he didn't finish), I want to say a few words about that. Johnny was writing his book, but unfourtunately it wasn't finished. His writer called me for an interview, about four months ago, and was very professional. I just hope that there isn't going to be someone else completing Johnny's book, it wouldn't be accurate, and we definitely don't need another book of quotes. He did tell me that he was going to make a book that included posters, backstage passes, old photos and other interesting things to look at. I'd like to see that, it sounds cool!"

In other news, Marky will be doing six shows "with my friend (and Joey's brother) Mickey Leigh, and friend Anthony Esposito, in South America from February 1st through the 6th," Marky writes. "We will be doing songs from Joey's solo album, and of course (and why not, everybody else is doing it) RAMONES songs. Our tribute. The legacy will live on as long as I enjoy playing (and of course in all the other bands out there that have been influenced by the RAMONES one way or another). I'm very grateful and I'm sure Johnny, Joey and Dee Dee would've been flattered by all these groups that are paying homage — thanks again for keeping it alive."

Hell yes.
I'm a huge Ramone fan, saw them live twice, got all of their cds, both dvds, some bootlegs and Dee Dee's biography, which is absolutely great.
R.I.P. Johnny, i'm sure you're jamming with Dimebag right now! He was a fan too you know? Viva Los Ramones!! Gabba Gabba Hey.
