LINKIN PARK In No Hurry To Make New Studio Album

LINKIN PARK's Mike Shinoda recently told Launch Radio Networks it might be a while before the group gets around to making their next studio album. After more than a year's worth of touring to promote 2003's "Meteora" and their other recent projects, "We are trying to change up the pace a little bit," he said. "We'll probably be working on a lot of other projects before we get started on the next LINKIN PARK album. We want to give our fans some different stuff, so as not to be redundant. Everyone is looking for great creative avenues to explore. It's no secret that we like to keep working, so it's safe to say that you can expect a number of things from us in the coming months."
Shinoda said he's doing "a lot of hip-hop production," while DJ Joseph Hahn is working on commercials and film projects.
LINKIN PARK have just published "From The Inside", a coffee table-sized book of photos and stories from the "Meteora" tour.

i have ALWAYS told people therse guys were a fly by night band...because they have been around for what? 5 years and they only have 2 albums, a remix of rehashed crap and some hip hop crap with Jay Z and i think a live cd.

The people that bought the last cd have now turned 13 years old and have realized what shit they were listening to...SO....they are waiting for a new crop of 9 year olds to turn 10 so they will have someone to buy the damn cd when it comes out.

Now linkin Park has 2 studio albums, a remix album, a live album, and a rap thing with Jay-Z. I hate LP as much as the next guy, but seriously...your cash-in releases should never outnumber your actual albums.

What is with this hate for a goddamn Alt. Metal band? Damn, I don't enjoy Linkin Park, but I'm not bash the fuck out of them. They're just every other band out there, trying to chase a dream, pay the bills, make it through life. No, I'm not happy with some of the comments they've made in the past (The Ozzfest one in particular I hate) but everyone has opinions, you have to learn to fucking accept it and just let them talk. Let them run their mouths. Let them do this, let them do that. They're just trying to make a living (and they are a making a good one, i'll give em that). No, their music is not my preference, but is there any need in bashing them? Hasn't Dimebag's death taught us (it's taught me) that people are always gonna be different, an you just have to accept them the way they are? Go ahead and bash LP, I just don't see the need in it.

If you read carefully, my source was BLENDER mag, and I clearly state in my Postscript that the magazine sucks to start with.
BLENDER mag has lots of interesting bits, but also LOTS OF FUCKING VOMITTING crap, such as pop-related articles, like Puff Daddy, Outcast, Ashlee Simpson (God she's an ugly kid) or Britney Spears cover girls, etc etc etc. I would read that mag but they showcase EVERYTHING including country and sugar-coated turd.
In short, that top list was theirs. I don't entirely agree with it anyways.

When I was 11 I already was into KISS, Aerosmith, Led Zeppelin, Van Halen, AC/DC, The Beatles, Motorhead, Judas Priest, Pink Floyd, Neil Young, The Rolling Stones, Blue Oyster Cult, Black Sabbath, The Kinks, The Cars (rank on me for that), The Doors, Foghat, Jimi Hendrix, Yes and many, many other bands that I actually STILL listen to. I'm not sure that Linkin Park is of the caliber of any of the bands listed, but the true test is if all the mall rats (which I was back in 1979-1980) still listen to them in 25 years. What are the odds of that??? Just a question.

Bullshit. I happen to listen to some rap/hip hop, drum and bass, and Trip Hop (if you know what that is). But not the type you think. I mean, new rap acts are often pop and RNB oriented--NOW THAT's CRAP. But the genuine old school shit ain't so bad.
A lot of the BBmouth pricks have no "rap" culture, they just hate whatever is being played on MTV and around them. Morons. There's actually cool RAP out there, it's just that you're stuck on MTV and whine like a penishead.

It's funny that the people that adore Linkin Park probably randomly cycle favorite bands in and out as their popularity wanes. I've been listening to the same shit now that I've listened to all of my life.

on this site,but i do actually like Linkin Park. Call me gay,a pussy,an asshole,etc.. I'm into metal,true blue or not. I do like Jay-Z as well. I think it goes quite well with Linkin Park. I don't really watch MTV anymore as I did back in the day. My source is Sirius,nowadays as is Fuse tv and Vh-1 Classic. As a matter of fact am watching the Metal Mania part right now. Linkin Park is for 13 year olds that parents wont let them listen to anything better. I have to admit, i did buy their albums, and even made the mistake of going to projekt revolution '04 (at which korn did a damn fine performance), but the rest sucked, i left halfway through the LP performance cause i was so bored. At least if they dropped the rapper, and got better guitarists, they might be able to realease half-way decent music.

The remix album doesn't sound "almost identical" to the original, how the fuck would you know if you hate them so much anyway? Quit talking out of your ass.
I call them a boyband, cuz they are a boy band; I happen to be a fan of them AND talk shit abou them. They don't have the most complex lyrics and aren't doing anything that original but I like them because i like them not because mtv is shoveing them down my throat.
For everyone else who bitched why the hell do you care? I mean honestly. Maybe they'll take a break and relase something all you people who claim that you don't give a shit about them (but sure seem to know alot about them) will approve of; Hybrid theory and metora did kind of sound exactly the same that's cuz as some of you said, they are lazy and knew they'd make an assload of money off of it; They were SUPPOSED to do something entirely different with metora, or so they said.
