KURT COBAIN's Letter To COURTNEY LOVE Sold For $19,000

A never-before-seen letter from NIRVANA frontman Kurt Cobain to his then-wife Courtney Love, written as the doomed rock star was hallucinating on LSD in a British hotel, sold for over $19,000 as part of a sale of rock 'n' roll memorobilia at Christie's on Friday (Dec. 17), according to ABC ePrep.
The undated two-page letter, scrawled in black ballpoint on lined 8 x 11-inch paper, is headed "Courtney Love Breakfast Fax" and was written by Cobain while he was on tour with NIRVANA in the U.K. in November 1991. He asked a receptionist at the Sheffield Hotel to fax it to Love for him, and when the receptionist asked Cobain what she should do with the original, he said she could keep it as a souvenir.
The letter begins with Cobain describing his acid trip — "Out of all the times I've been on acid, I've never been able to hallucinate with such repetitive control," he writes. "I'm hallucinating at will, over and over again in this English shoebox with pastel curtains and normal little victorian [sic] lamps and drawers. It's all too normal and impossible to explain."
At the same auction, a guitar once owned by George Harrison and played by both Harrison and John Lennon sold for almost $568,000. Harrison had played it on the BEATLES' "Revolver" album, and Lennon played it while recording "The White Album".

I don't think you are helping your cause by giving your opinion. You write too loud and make statements that are too crazy and bold. Saying Nirvana was the best band in history would get you smacked by Kurt himself if he were still alive. Of course I said Gwar was better than Led Zeppelin and The Beatles, but that's Gwar, nothing beats Gwar. (am I kidding?)

They sure did. In the eyes of retards, who'd never heard any other kind of music besides what gets played on MTV prime time. Anyone who knows jack shit about music will know that the kind of music Nirvana "changed the face of music" was made well back in the sixties, and ever since then. But since it doesn't/didn't get any top 40 action in the early 90's, it's easy for dumbasses to think Nirvana were revolutionary in some respect. Keep posting that garbage myth about Nirvana "changing the face of music forever" while I'm laughing my ass off at you, then go to a bookstore and find some books about the history of music. Maybe then you'll have slight chances of finding out how Nirvana were just as original as Blink 182.

His band is only considered a "legend" because the fucker killed himself.
At the same time, bands like Alice in Chains, way better than Nirvana (by miles away) don´t even get recognition (and Layne Stanley also died in a tragic way) but no one cares.
I care for Dimebag Darrel, guys like that, who did not CHOOSE to die. Suicides are fucked-ups who deserve to die cause they don´t have balls to face life, so fuck Kurt and all the suicide motherfuckers.
Nirvana is not a bad band, but I´ve seen Nirvana rise and fall, and to me they are the same as the modern rock bands from today, nothing really new to offer. I don´t think they´re bad, but they´re sure no Black Sabbath...
