SATYRICON Guitarists Charged With Rape, Facing 10 Years In Prison

SATYRICON guitarists Steinar Gundersen and A.O. Gronbech were arrested and charged in Canada for drugging and raping a woman in the band's tour bus after a concert in Toronto.
"I can confirm that the Norwegian consul in Toronto has been in contact with the arrestees, and followed up by, among other things, visiting them in jail and obtaining legal assistance," said Anne Lene Dale Sandstein, press officer of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, to Norwegian TV 2 Nettavisen.
According to Canadian police, the crimes were committed after SATYRICON had performed at the club Fun Haus in Toronto last Tuesday (Dec. 14), reported the Norwegian newspaper Dagbladet.
"A woman from Toronto explained that she went with the two Norwegian musicians to their tour bus," said Kristin Bacharach at the Toronto police to the paper. There she was reportedly drugged and sexually assaulted.
Bacharach confirmed that the two musicians have been arrested and are charged. DNA tests have been taken. If found guilty, the two musicians may be sentenced to ten years in prison.
As a result of the musicians' arrests, the remaining dates on SATYRICON's North American tour with 3 INCHES OF BLOOD (including a New York show) were cancelled.

Just because Satyr is from another country doesn't mean he's wrong. The U.S. a violent country, those of us who live here know it's true. I agree with the comment that many of us women like to hang out with our favorite musicians (just like you guys do) and just because we are women doesn't mean we are automatically going to sleep with them. Like I said earlier, I have hung out with many musicians on their tour bus, hotel, etc. and never had to put out or slept with any of them. I've even become friends with many of these musicians' girlfriends or wives because they know I am there to talk about what matters, the music, as well to drink a little and just make fun of people, WITHOUT SEX!!! These retards that think just because a girl gets backstage, she wants to get laid are just full of shit, and are just plain jealous because we get to get backstage and they don't. when you assume that every guy in every band screws around on the road. yeah, theres plenty of hooking up (mostly between consenting adults, so lay off, what do you care how people get off?), but you know a lot of musicians actually dont cheat on their wives and girlfriends but still socialize on the road, including talking and drinking with fans, male and female. theres plenty of "bad behavior" at concerts, whether its slutty chicks, violent moshers, violent drunks, invasive fans, etc., but you know, everyone is only human, and not everyone, even in metal, is shallow or hedonistic or FUBAR, you know?

Whats wrong with National Socialist Black Metal??There are a lot of people in europe that support the idea's of Varg and other NSBM bands..Is that a crime?!Noo, i dont think so..I also support the lyrics and idea's of NSBM bands...And what about Slayer??They also have songs about WO2..
