ILL NINO Drummer: New CD Will Be 'Much Heavier' Than First Two Albums

ILL NINO drummer Dave Chavarri has posted the following message on the band's official web site:
"After 23 months of touring in support of 'Revolution', and 16 months touring in support of 'Confession', we wanna say THANK YOU! to all our fans & friends from the bottom of our hearts, without you guys there would be no ILL NINO. We're home now writing new music for our third CD, which is sounding fucking brutal, and will be much heavier than our past two efforts. We start recording our third CD in February 2005, and is to be released in the summer of 2005!"

Why does EVERY nu metal band have to say that their next record will be heavier than the last? Every fucking band says the same old shit before every release. Here's a tip lads, write some decent fucking songs first. Then you can worry about how 'heavy' you are.

Don't forget Musuggah, Jonathan Davis also said that their new album would be heavy, and Lar$ who thinks St. Anger is the harshest, heaviest album ever made. It's like all these mallcore bands are trying to turn themselves into self-parody with this 'heavyness' thing, even though the whole genre has always been a joke.

The only band that could ever say there next album would be much heavier and could back it up is Pantera. God damn I am gonna miss that band. By the way Ill Nino is generic trash that makes me sick. Their music sound like everything else on the radio and it leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

The new Priest album.....I'm not even going there because I got my fucking fingers crossed on that one. I just wish a band would come out and say "Hey, the new album sounds like all our old shit but not as good." I'd actually spend more just based on the honesty.
