COREY TAYLOR's DUM FUX: More Details About New Year's Eve Show Announced

ON A PALE HORSE (featuring ex-SLIPKNOT guitarist Josh Brainard), MOORE and KNUCKLEBONE have been confirmed as the opening acts for SLIPKNOT singer Corey Taylor's "goofy cover band" DUM FUX on New Year's Eve (Dec. 31) at The House of Bricks in Des Moines, Iowa. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $15 in advance or $20 at the door.
Speaking to the Des Moines Register last year prior to ringing in the new year with DUM FUX, Taylor said, "It's a cover thing, all about fun. Seventies punk and '80s hair metal. Just good songs, just have-fun songs with attitude."

The DumFux are all about having a good time.. it's not really a band, it's just a group of friends who get togther on New Year's and do some cover songs and have a good time. But I forgot, having a good time is so anti-metal.

Couldn't of said it better. Sounds like he's taking the Black Metal scene too seriously. Like with any music scene, black metal bands are doing what they want to do, and what they enjoy, its not about hatred at all. And ask for Dum Fux...good on them, hope they have a blast, pity I live in the U.K.

I happen to play in a "joke" band myself...ABORTION CLINIC SIRVIVORS...I am just not a fan of Slipknot or most "rock" music in general. As far as "hatred"...i don't hate anybody...it is just amusing seeing people like yourselves get all upset because i made a comment about their idols. It is called "Freedom of Speech"...maybe you have heard of it?
