JOE SATRIANI Diagnosed With Pneumonia; Tour Dates Postponed

According to a posting on his official web site, legendary guitarist Joe Satriani has been diagnosed with pneumonia and is unable to perform the concerts scheduled December 28 through January 1 2005. At press time, all the dates are expected to be rescheduled in early 2005.
"Joe is expected to make a full recovery after rest and medication," the statement continues. "He regrets being unable to perform this holiday season and wishes all his fans a Happy New Year and looks forward to seeing them as soon as he is back to 100 percent."
The affected dates are as follows:
Dec. 28 - 4th & B - San Diego, CA
Dec. 29 - House of Blues - Las Vegas, NV
Dec. 30 - Celebrity Theatre - Phoenix, AZ
Dec. 31 - Ventura Theatre - Ventura, CA
Jan. 01 - The Grove of Anaheim - Anaheim, CA

...one of my favorite instrumentalists. Having pnuemonia sucks, I had it about three years ago, you can't do anything; laughing, coughing and just breathing hurts. Take your meds, get some rest, and hopefully you'll be back on the road before you know it.

i just had that shit and it sucked.. i slept for days with a 103 degree fever and massive headache. it sucked balls. right now im still coughing up phelgm and shit from my lungs but the fevers been gone for awhile.

Hell of a guitarist, but part of me doesn't really feel bad for the guy. He shouldn't have cut his hair...now he's got nothing to trap the body heat in ontop, so in a way it's his own fault. Let this be a lesson to all of you rock stars, dont cut your hair or you'll get pnuemonia.
