KISS Frontman PAUL STANLEY Undergoes Second Hip Surgery

KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley this week underwent a second surgery on his hip to correct problems that arose following his hip replacement of October 12. After an undetermined period of rest and physical therapy, he is expected to make a full recovery.
Stanley had previously said that his left hip degenerated from years of high-energy performances with KISS.
The surgery was supposed to happen about three years ago, but Stanley put it off, even though he knew it would have to happen eventually.
"I wound up postponing my hip surgery and, you know, it's like reading in the newspaper your own death, you know, when you keep reading about your hip surgery, and I haven't done it, but I'm just postponing it for awhile," he said. "I have, you know, every intention of continuing doing what I've been doing, but little by little I'm turning bionic."

I hope he makes a fast recovery. I would think that he deserves a long overdue rest after the tour upon tour for years and years.

Of course you're kidding, but it DOES prove just how much Paul physically put into their shows. Every bit of this is because of the running, jumping, and everything else he's done over the years to entertain us on stage. Unlike these fuckers that just stand there and weep about how tough their life is.

You said it!!! Paul still has the pipes. 52 is young for that surgery, but with all the pelvic thrusting he does on stage, he's lucky he didn't need it at 22. He just won't look the same doing all that thrusting on stage with a walker.

hope paul has a speedy recovery and gets back to rockin soon. one of rock's true icons. say what you want about kiss but they are one of the greatest of all time. how about a new album or something?

Hopefully this is the last surgery Paul needs, at least for a long time. He was just recovering from the last one. I'm sure he'll be back rockin' again soon enough, though. His solo album is going to be amazing.

Jesus , if you don't think they have never written a good song , you should get your head checked or give it a shake. Millions would disagree. They wrote Party songs and for myself , bring back a lot of great memories. Who the hell do you listen to ?

in there day (70's) they were cool, fast forward to present day
yah I know the record company and them would sell their own mother to make a buck , but again it's the people that buy it not kiss or whoever sells it. blame them if kii comes out with a computer that says kiss on it and it sell , who's fault is that ?
look at maiden the sell everything too as well as priest and other metal bands ok maybe not coffins but same type of shit even manowar hgas a stupid lunch box, the whole music industry is fucked right now look at the amount of cover bands touring the world and calling themselves a re-creation and charging 50 or 60 bucks and the record companies are not developing any bands any more unless you can have a hit right away , and now you know why kiss and other bands like can tour still and sell their crap , no competition

Hope Paul has a speedy recovery. My father who is 3 years odler than Paul had a hip replacement back in April. Lots of rehab will be a must. My father started feeling much better close to a month ago and is ready to start working again after the New Year. I am sure Paul's recovery process will be alot quicker as my father was already on disability from other stuff. I saw KISS over the summer for the first time and it was a truly remarkable night. Awesome band and hope to see more of them.

Joint replacement surgery. Because the recovery time is shorter, the patient is younger and in many cases, in better physical condition to go thru rehabilitation.
I wish Paul all the best for a FULL and speedy recovery. Don't try to do too much too soon Paul!!

KISS has been at it for 35 years now and you can count the bands that still have that type of appeal after that long on one hand. I saw KISS last year in St. Louis and was shocked to see how great a show they still put on and actually looked like they were having fun. As a matter of fact, they were as accomodating to the fans as I have ever seen. KISS still knows how to put on a show. They sounded GREAT!!!
