SOUL SIRKUS Drummer Falls Ill; All Tour Dates Cancelled - Jan. 4, 2005
SOUL SIRKUS, the new "supergroup" formed by singer Jeff Scott Soto (YNGWIE MALMSTEEN, TALISMAN, AXEL RUDI PELL, TAKARA, HUMAN CLAY), guitarist Neal Schon and drummer Deen Castronovo (both of JOURNEY) and bassist Marco Mendoza (THIN LIZZY, WHITESNAKE, TED NUGENT), have cancelled all previously announced tour dates after Castronovo was diagnosed with dehydration and exhaustion, according to a posting on the group's web site.

"Huge apologies for this inconvenience caused to all," the posting contnues. "We all woke up to the news that he was taken to the hospital after noticing his health was not all there the past few days and the news was just sprung on us minutes ago. Shows are being rescheduled for April."

SOUL SIRKUS's debut album, "World Play", is available for mailorder on the group's web site and the Warner Bros. Store web site. Several MP3 samples from the upcoming CD can currently be downloaded at this location.

it's not like the american media would've promoted this band anyway. Probab;y a hoax anyhow and they were never going to tour the states... Journey makes money this band wouldn't..............period.

I BOUGHT THIS CD AND GIVE IT A 8 OUT OF TEN . SCHON DOES SOME INTRESTING THINGS ON GUITAR DIFFERENT FROM THE JOURNEY STUFF . I HAVE BEEN A JEFF SCOTT SOTO FAN SINCE HIS YNGWIE DAYS . SORRY TO HEAR ABOUT DEAN BEING ILL . EXCELLENT DRUMMER . I EXPECT THEY WILL BE BACK ON THE ROAD SOON .
