LIMP BIZKIT Drummer Launches Record Label - Jan. 8, 2005

LIMP BIZKIT drummer John Otto has launched a new independent record label, dubbed Scheme Addicts Records.

After spending the past six years winning Grammy nominations, MTV awards, and selling over 35 million records worldwide, Otto founded Scheme Addicts Records in 2004 with the sole purpose of creating a label and an environment where "the artist comes first and the music is everything," according to a posting on the label's web site.

Look for Scheme Addicts' first releases from the blazing electronic duo JACKAL AND HYDE and new rap duo RED ROCK. Hailing from the mighty hometown of LIMP BIZKIT — Jacksonville, Florida — these records are "sure to be smash hits" this spring, reads a posting on the web site. More information about each act, including audio samples, is available from this location.

	"frighteningly close to a swastika" i find it highly unlike its anyting to do with anti-semitism or nazism in anyway, that would involve formulating an opinion and last i looked thinking wasnt one of limp bizkits strong points. besides, there are black artists on the label, why would they want to operate under the banner of a swastika?? besides THAT what prominate public figure would openly align themselves with nazist ideals and last very long? "in the event of a terror attack or other emergency everyone should ________" kiss their ass goodbye.

	but i think limp bizkit isn't all that bad. they certainly arent slayer thats for goddamned sure but they do have some cool tunes. but all these dudes having labels seems kinda trendy to me. hell who knows though, out of all these dudes doin labels at least one can make it. he seems like the kind of guy who could make a decent go of it. the logo swastika thing however isn't a good way to start so i would probably come up with something different there.

	LB sucks IMO, kiddy stuff..................Wes Borland is nothing special, they sucked with him, they sucked without him, they will suck again. It almost seems like these guys are Hip Hop and Dance, Electronica Fans first an foremost rather than heavier music fans, They play in a so-called heavier (in a rock-radio way) national act (LB) as a day job, or some shit, and their real interests lie in other more pop orientated forms of music. Although Borland does have BDF and it would seem he has more of an ear for the heavier stuff, but even that just seems like a parody of death metal rather than something genuine.

	Today at 05:00 Pacific, a record label was launched from kennedy Space Center, Fla. 3 minutes, 50 seconds into the flight, the record label exploded due to being a really shitty idea in the first place.
