Police: Killer Didn't Say Anything To DIMEBAG Before Shooting Him

Ohio's NBC 4 is reporting that the man who killed four people at the Alrosa Villa nightclub last month, including former PANTERA guitarist "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, had several unused rounds before he was shot and killed by an officer, police said Thursday (Jan. 13).
Nathan Gale, 25, of Marysville, fired his weapon 15 times, police said. He had two magazines with 10 rounds in each in his semiautomatic handgun. He reloaded his weapon once, police said, and there were five rounds left in the magazine after he was shot.
NBC 4 reported that Gale's mother legally purchased the weapon, a Baretta, model 92FS.
Police also said that Gale, a former Marine, did not say anything prior to his shooting rampage. There were several rumors from people inside the club who said they heard Gale say something to Abbott before shooting him.
Authorities said they did not know the order the victims were shot Dec. 9, but were investigating.
Columbus police Officer James D. Niggemeyer, who arrived in the nightclub less than one minute earlier, shot and killed Gale. Niggemeyer has not spoken publicly about the circumstances surrounding the shooting.

The same info was released in something you posted like 3 day's after the shootings. Its was established and explained this douche didn't announce anything when the cops reveiwed video and audio from that night. No "whats Phil gonna do, you killed Pantera" or any other obvious bullshit.
Unless its stuff like Dime tribute concerts, albums, or memorials, we dont want to hear this rehashed series of events again and again every friggin day.

I'll take the cop's word over heresay from people who can hear what an Un-micriphoned person can say onstage at a concert. The cops are saying they didn't hear anything, and they are the ones who heard the tapes. The only people who seem to think Gale said anything are the people looking to blame Phil for what happened. Theres no conspiracy theory, LeeroyHightower. Its a tragedy, the guy who did it had his head blown off, time to close the wounds.

There is a great story about Dime in the new Guitar World mag about what kind of guy Dime was. In short, Dime was at a guitar store doing autographs etc, and a kid came up and said that Dime was the reason he wanted to play guitar and Dime asked him what he had and the kid said he didnt have a guitar yet that he was going to get one for XMAS. The kids dad was there and Dime said "why don't you give the kid an early XMAS(it was summer at the time). The dad said that he just lost his job and that he was putting away what he could to get the guitar for XMAS. Dime told the manager to have the kid and his dad stay after the signing session and Dime picked out a guitar bought it for the kid. Just amazing, I don't think any of us realize the type of guy we lost in December except his friends and family. All I have to say is how lucky you were to witness things like that on a daily basis.
My wife and I met Dime some years ago, and he and Vin were the coolest cats we had met. We have met a lot of people in the metal biz, and they were the best. I miss him.
Sorry to ramble but its still difficult to accept this.

It's kind of confusing. On the Headbanger's Ball special, I know there was at least one individual saying that you could hear Gale saying something to the tune of "You left Pantera". Not sure if there were any other people saying that on the show when they interviewed witnesses. However the police studying audio I'm sure would've been able to hear it as well had there been anything said. I agree, it's kind of pointless. If Gale were still alive I could see them investigating this for some purpose, but he's not. Though I respect other's feelings on this board, I'm kinda getting sick of seeing Dime stories as well. At least the one's like this that have no point or validity. Seems more like ripping at a wound that's trying to heal when shit like this gets reported. The community will be in mourning for a long time to come. But reporting nonsense like the whole "Spitting" story and this stuff is just is ridiculous. Let those who died Rest In Peace, not be resurrected in the news over and over.

I was at the show it happened at, and I have said it many many times that the killer did not shout anything at the band. Some people are full of shit and will make up anything to be on TV.
And even if the guy did yell something, NOBODY would have heard it. The band was FAR too LOUD! You can yell something in someone's ear who's standing right next to you at a concert and they couldn't understand you. There's no way the dude yelled anything.

How are we supposed to get over the death of the greatest metal guitarist of all time. There is no getting over that you shitheads. There will never be another like Dime and metal is left with a big empty whole that will never be replaced. Dude, I'm not trying to be a dick or open up another pandora's box about this mess, but man you need to at least quote the situation correctly. She gave it to him BEFORE he was diagnosed. I'm sure, whether some might agree with me or not I could give a flying fuck, she wouldn't have given him the gun in the first place had he been diagnosed PRIOR to her purchasing it.
And WTF good is it going to do to arrest HER?! I mean...jesus. I know we're all still upset about the shootings but damn man. What's that going to accomplish? NOTHING. The ordeal ended when Gale was shot and killled. Any hopes of anyone being brought to justice for Dime and the others being killed died when Gale did.
I know you're angry man, we all are. But no more blame can be placed on the situation. And please don't think I'm telling you to "let it go" because I'm not. I'd never assume to tell someone how to grieve. I'm simply saying arresting her isn't going to accomplish anything. Gale had a mission that night and we all know what it was, no rehashing there. If it hadn't of been that gun she bought him, he would've gotten a gun somewhere else. And if you're going to arrest his mother, why arrest those shop owners? They sold it to her. And the gun manufacturer, they made the gun. And the bullet manufacturer....the shit never ends.
