King Diamond, Obituary, and maybe Nightwish and Cryptopsy are the only bands worth seeing in the entire three days.

THEM is about 500 times better than every other album released by each band on that bill.

I went a few years ago when GWAR headlined. Shitload of bands. Hell of a day, from what I remember. At least Strapping made the list this year. Go on day 2 for that, at least!!

SYL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I sort of knew that they would add an assload of those fucking Trustkill shit-emo-core bands, but I still expected better. The initial announcement of SYL, Cryptopsy, Nile and Nightwish was great, but now I'm a bit less excited. Especially for Friday's show; good god, that's a lot of suck. At least Obituary's there.

Also, I think "Nimic" is supposed to be "Mnemic".

Shut the fuck up people who say this is a bad show. You are either a metal-spoiled lucky-ass European or just ignorant. Its not often we have shows like this in the U.S., especially in New England (where I'm from). So it may not be the greatest festival ever, but believe me, for people in the U.S. who want to go to JUST ONE metal festival without flying to europe, this is awesome.

But I would still really like to go to all 3 days even if I'm not a fan of all the bands.Mr Meshuggah it it dead on here in the states we're lucky to get any of these bands together whereas in Europe they have these festivals all over the place.
Just goes to show 1 more reason that the US sucks.
It's my country and I have every right to say it sucks.

why don't you put on a metal festival of your own? WOW, imagine that!!! That way you can book ONLY the bands that YOU want to see, but then that would mean you would have to do something other than bitching about how much EVERYTHING sucks. Awwww....does someone need their diaper changed?

Then maybe you might realize exactly how difficult it is to book a bunch of different bands together at the same time & place, signingin contracts & actually coming up with all the money to cover all the expenses for something like this.

I guess I forgot you can't reason with 12 year olds. What the hell was I thinking?

Day Two:
Nightwish
King Diamond
Chimaira
Nile
Sonata Arctica
Soilwork

I think this lineup would pretty much satisfy everybody. Obviously no one would be ecstatic, as the sets would be too diverse in interest, but people would be generally happy.

The only show worth a shit in the USA and I have to live in shitzville in a galaxy far far away! Damn why can't something like this take place closer to my home? The only thing missing there is Children Of Bodom! Sunday would be the day I would pick to all you lucky fucks who live up there. Soilwork should kick some ass if they're having a good day. King Diamond and Nile should be badass too. Have fun you lucky bastards! Black Dahlia Murder better rip on this one too. I hope at least a DVD comes out...SHIT!

only worthy fest in america? you're forgetting about the only 2 worthy fests that piss all over this gay-****core bullshit. and the best part is you don't have to deal with the hardcore kids or blabbermouth douches. they cant afford a ticket/trip to progpower, or have no interest in bwbk. so it leaves the cool metal fans around the world with a perfect atmosphere every single year. i'll leave your new england fest of losers to the fools. at least make yourselves useful and kick a few hardcore kids in the face while you're there

I hate people who make another post just to correct a minor spelling error. You know, we get it, sometimes your fingers slip, it happens everyone, ok? We dont need to see you correct it. Really. It's just annoying. And stupid.

That being said, you can disregard "usually" from the last sentence of my previous post.

You are the most ignorant person that has ever posted on this forum. Why are you here? Stay on your prog power forum, because your not wanted here. Go listen to cring metal, where everyone still wishes it was the 80's. little update its 2005, so stop your bitching and go listen to THERION or something. Besides the prog power festival is at the smallest venue in the world, how can you call it a festival. the excuse is that they want it to be a more personal show. fuck that, what they really mean is that they wouldnt beable to draw more than 800 people to the show..... yes it sells out every year, but so does the new england metal and hardcore festval......so go fuck yourself...........
