Great White is touring with Firehouse.
A great group to tour with after what happened a year or so ago in Rhode Island.

Even though I think Great White took a bullet for what could have or would have happened just about any band, Firehouse is a terrible idea... There will never be enough to help replace the lives lost and the disabilities suffered, but at least they aren't running and hiding, and they probably don't have any other vocation to fall back on. I would go to a show if they came through SF to help the cause.

...is taking some responsibility for that tragedy. I wonder if the club owner is doing as much? Great White were always a pretty cool band. They weren't anything real special and they aren't the best musicians, thats for sure, but they had some pretty decent tunes. They could easily do a tribute to Zeppelin no problem and I for one would go and check them out. I don't know about Firehouse...maybe if it were firehose! :-)

oh for the love of god, so the bands name is fire house. Yes what happend to great white was horrible beyond belief but it's not as if they can avoid the word fire and everything to do with it forever. I mean it's just a name! It's not like their calling the tour "Piles of burnt corpes tour".

At least you didn't have to suffer through Soulfly's set. Man they SUCK ass.
As for Great White, people are going to run thier mouths for as long as they live, much like what happened after the Hartford CT circus fire. But, at least Great White IS trying to do what they can, and are accepting SOME responsibility. Are the owners of the club or the town manager taking responsibility for the MAJOR mistakes they made? (And yes, the town IS responsible, because the Fire Marshall was inept in his duties and let the inspection pass, even though it was CLEAR that the materials used were NOT up to code)
Let them do what they can. They are doing more for the victims than the majority of people on here who feel a need to spout off even though they only know what they read here.

The answer to your question is Resolve. Why let "them" win? They (Anthrax) had the name before the attacks and are showing pride, would you change your name if some one with the same name killed thousands of innocent people? That would be silly.

What happened was sad and it probably could have been prevented if people weren't so stupid or stubborn about what's needed to rock & roll. However it's done and I for one feel they deserve a break from all the crap they've gotten over this. Was it their fault?, I doubt it, what band or individual plays a show knowing damn well that it could result in people dying? Face facts, someone made a very poor decision and that decision cost lives. Should that person or person be held accountable for it?, you're damn right they should. Was it the band that said let's do it?, well I guess we'll never really know. One things for sure, these guys will have to live with that whether they were at fault or not for the rest of their lives!!
