QUEENSRŸCHE Confirmed For JUDAS PRIEST Tour? - Feb. 11, 2005
According to www.metalsetlists.com, it was announced immediately prior to QUEENSRŸCHE taking the stage at The Warfield in San Francisco Thursday night (Feb. 10) that they will in fact be opening for JUDAS PRIEST on their upcoming U.S. tour.

PRIEST have yet to announce their U.S. tour plans but it is expected that they will be scheduling a headlining run in the summer. Other rumored support acts for the trek are DIO and BLACK LABEL SOCIETY.

PRIEST singer Rob Halford confirmed in a recent interview with Detroit's WRIF 101.1 FM that QUEENSRŸCHE were one of the acts being considered for the tour, but stressed at that time (late January) that a final decision had not yet been made regarding the trek's lineup.

Ryche, Dio and Priest would make for a fine tour. I'd think all the bands could make a nice profit and there couldn't be too many metal fans that wouldn't find the whole package appealiing.

Personally, I'd rather just see Dio play smaller venues for easier access to seats up front, but that's just me. I saw Dio open for Deep Purple and the Scorpions in Indianapolis and there couldn't have been 200 people in main floor center when Dio began... As Ronnie said, "It's kind of hard to be evil in the daylight..."

Whisper and THOTF are cool songs...apart from that, all wimpy, washed-out KRAPOLA they've been putting out since OM.

When they opened for Metallica on the Justice tour, they did a KICK ASS setlist. Something like:

Queen Of The Ryche
Revolution Calling
Operaztion Midcrime
Speak
Spreading The Disease
Neue Regel
The Needle Lies
Take Hold Of The Flame
Eye Of A Stranger

Now THAT'S a Queensryche set list!!!!

I kinda gotta agree with Kull(the star trek freaky fuck!)! Dio, ryche, and Priest would be an awesome lineup. However, I DO like BLS....I just don't think they have been around as long as those other 2 bands! That's just my thought!

That would be enough for me. Much as I respect Wylde and BLS ... it just doesn't fit the bill, IMO.

uh huh said: Queensryche's "not the kick ass metal band they used to be"

ok, they are not totally "metal", but they seriously kick ass live!!
I saw them with Dream Theater in Cincinnati.

I can only imagine a duet with Rob and Geoff, dudes that would make me orgasmic. These two first class metal vocalists singing together maybe "Walk in the Shadows" a screamer classic. For fans of true, true metal vocalists, I'm talking about the fuckers that sing the highs like their nuts are in a vice this would be a great tour. Dio, QR and Judas? I would probably shit my pants by the time the show was over. Awesome.

queensryche i can never slag.......a whole bunch of killer albums barring q2k and parts of hitnf.......tribe i felt was a good record lyrically and if one can get by the fact that they used to be more heavy and that the last 3 albums are so are more introspective and hence may not connect with a large section of ppl......

having Paradise Lost tour with them here like they are in Europe. If not, I will take BLS and the Ryche.

when maiden toured in 2000 they went out with HALFORD and QUEENSRYCHE--it was the 3 tenors of metal...as long as the tour is not at some barnyard like the tweeter...a show like this belongs in the BRAWLROOM

COMMENT | Bleh.

Queensryche sucks. There are a hundred other bands that are way more metal and would be a much better fit.
