METALLICA: 'Hip Hop' Tribute Album Due In March
- Feb. 14, 2005

A new METALLICA tribute album, entitled "Hip Hop Tribute To Metallica", is due for release on March 8, according to Overstock.com. The track listing for the CD is as follows: 01. Enter Sandman 02. Am I Evil? 03. Creeping Death 04. Harvester Of Sorrow 05. Welcome Home (Sanitarium)06. Through The Never 07. For Whom The Bell Tolls 08. Fade To Black 09. Master Of Puppets 10. Nothing Else Matters It is not yet known which artists are involved in the album. Other non-traditional tribute albums to METALLICA which have been released include "Fade To Bluegrass" (bluegrass music), DIE KRUPPS' "A Tribute to Metallica" (Electronic/Techno) and "Say Your Prayers, Little One" (Classical/Cellos). i just have to correct on this one thing. i know it is an expressionw hen u say "so and so must be roling over in his grave " but if you follow Metallica history and in my case bassically studied them for years now you would know little details ... like Cliff doesnt have a grave. he was cremated. Ashes Scattered in the San Francisco Bay. and i think if any of these tributes, Cliff probablly would have appricitaed Apocalyptica plays Metallica by 4 cellos. Artistic Expression.
Some more words: Metallica is my life-force. It's beyond obsession--Its a sickness. I'll listen to anything that has anything to do with Metallica. I love listening to other artists version of Met songs. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery. If Avril digs Fuel, so be it. I thought it was great.....made me wanna bang her that much more.
Metal isn't about going against society-- that's punk.
Hip-hop, classical, polka......who cares? It's someone elses way of paying TRIBUTE to a band.....hence the name. And, btw, I will be buying the album.
Well, lets see how far this post goes....
