MUDVAYNE Singer Taken Ill; Band Cancel Virginia Concert
- Feb. 16, 2005
MUDVAYNE were forced to cancel tonight's show at Jaxx in Springfield, Virginia after singer Chad Gray was taken ill. "We are really sorry for this inconvenience, but we assure you we will make this up," the band write on their web site. It is not presently clear if any other dates on the group's current club tour will be affected by the cancellation.
MUDVAYNE's new album, "Lost and Found", is scheduled for release on April 12 via No Name/Epic Records. A video for the album's first single, "Happy?", was shot earlier this week in the Los Angeles area with director Lex Halaby (CHIMAIRA, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE). The treatment for the clip is said to be a "special effects tribute to the power of nature."
The follow-up to 2002's gold-certified "The End of All Things to Come", "Lost and Found" was recorded at The Plant studio in Sausalito, California with producer Dave Fortman (former UGLY KID JOE guitarist), who has previously worked with SUPERJOINT RITUAL and EVANESCENCE, among others. Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include Fucking Determined", "Just" and "Pushing Through".
MUDVAYNE will be teaming up with LIFE OF AGONY, BLOODSIMPLE and AMERICAN HEAD CHARGE for a U.S. tour beginning in late March. The first announced dates are as follows:
Mar. 29 - St. Paul, MN @ Roy Wilkins Auditorium Mar. 30 - Milwaukee, WI @ The Rave Apr. 01 - Chicago, IL @ Congress Theatre Apr. 02 - Detroit, MI @ State Theatre Apr. 03 - Peoria, IL @ East Peoria Conv. Apr. 05 - Toronto, ONT @ Kool Haus Apr. 06 - Montreal, QUE @ Metropolis Apr. 08 - Hartford, CT @ Webster Theater Apr. 09 - Philadelphia, PA @ Electric Factory Apr. 10 - Worcester, MA @ Palladium Apr. 12 - New York, NY @ TBA Apr. 13 - Washington, DC @ 9:30 Club

LD50 is a fucking masterpiece. The End Of All Things To Come was mediocre and it looks as if Lost and Found will be mediocre as well.
Their live show is still awesome and you can never take away the creativity and genius put into LD50.
I hope Chad gets well soon.

Fuck him. That show was sold out. Jaxx busts their asses to get these shows happening, and then they get fucked over. This really sucks.

If I had tickets I'd want a more detailed explanation of the 'sickness.'
