According to
TotalRock.com,
BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION have set
"13 Acres" as the title of their sophomore album, tentatively due in June via
Sanctuary Records. The follow-up to last year's
"Here Come the Brides" is being recorded at a ranch in Malibu with producer
Andy Johns, who has previously worked with
BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION guitarist
Tracii Guns on the
L.A. GUNS "Waking the Dead" album (which
Guns has referred to as "my favorite
L.A. GUNS record.").
BRIDES OF DESTRUCTION will have a camera crew filming them for the next two months of writing and recording, although it's presently unclear if the resultant footage will be released in conjunction with the upcoming album.
The band, who were recently joined by guitarist
Ginger (
THE WILDHEARTS) and bassist
Scott Sorry (ex-
AMEN), played their first show with the new formation last week (Feb. 10) at the Trees club in Dallas, Texas (as part of the
Dallas Music Fest).
