It's Official: DANZIG And DOYLE To Perform Special MISFITS Set At Three East Coast Dates

As BLABBERMOUTH.NET exclusively reported on February 17, it has now been officially confirmed that Glenn Danzig will be joined by his former MISFITS bandmate Doyle for a special 30-minute set of MISFITS classics at three DANZIG East Coast shows in early March. An official press release follows:
Glenn Danzig and Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein on stage together making MISFITS music? Well, while they had intended it to be a surprise, yes, it's true — the closest thing to a MISFITS reunion that the East Coast will see is set to happen, and not once, not twice, but three times. On Monday, February 28 at the Roxy Theatre in Boston, Wednesday, March 1 at the Spirit Performance Center in New York, and Thursday, March 2 at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, Doyle will join his former MISFITS bandmate Glenn Danzig for a special 30-minute set of MISFITS classics. Two West Coast cities witnessed a Glenn and Doyle reunion late last year, marking the first time the two had shared a stage in some 20 years.
DANZIG's U.S. tour, which features KATAKLYSM, TRIVIUM, and EYES OF FIRE on various dates, kicked off last week, and is in support of the band's latest album, "Circle of Snakes". In addition, Danzig has completed "Black Aria II", the follow up to 1993's "Black Aria" which reached the #1 position on Billboard's Classical chart, and is in the process of writing the screenplay for a film adaptation of "Gerouge", one of the comic book titles distributed by his Verotik publishing company.

This douchebag has had nothing worthwile SINCE the misfits, and for all the shit he talked about his bandmates, for all the fights he's picked with people who brought up the misfits, and for the big act he puts on...this shows he's fucken desperate and was all talk. Ive got nothing against Doyle, but I think its pretty much accepted in the rock world that Danzig is just a fucken asshole who's full of himself. (I think it was funny when that one SF bayside band's lead singer punched his ass out, and even funnier that the guy from GWAR whupped Danzig's ass in a fight years and years ago)

...that Glen realizes that his music with Danzig is kinda "unspectacular" Does anyone know other songs except "Mother"? I'd rather like to see the Misfits reunite, NOT record a new album (so that they can't destroy the legend), but play the whole globe for all the fans who missede them during their heydey.
I couldn't accept anything else.

I don't know if he is dating "her" but I do remeber on the AZ punk board when he got decked someone posted that "she" was backstage and it was gross because it was a MAN. I think the FBI was backstage as well on behalf of Bill Clinton. Apparantly, he has a thing for guys in Wigs.
Most of Danzigs artwork depicts masculine looking "females" with masks on covering their faces.
Doyle was the shittiest guitar player in the Misfits. The original guitar player was Franche Coma. Bobby Steele was a way better guitar player too.

i was at the danzig show on 2/21/05, chicago house of blues.
the show was close to sold out, if not sold out.
first, the sound was shitty..even danzig mentioned how it sounded shitty. the set list was nothing to write home about, but white angel/black angel might have been the highlight of the night. there whould have been far newer material in the set list.
danzig was picking on this fat fuck on the floor...i didnt see what this guy was doing, but it was enough to get him thrown out of the house of blues...danzig refered to the fat fuck as "little girl"
and kept saying "COME ON, GIRL" He finally called him a pussy and told everyone to "laugh at the girl being thrown out"
funny...you normally dont see several 100 people laugh at a danzig show.
also, tommy viktr kept making the gayest faces during the show.
kataklysm put on a decent show.
