LARS ULRICH Says Releasing 'Some Kind Of Monster' Outtakes Is A Possibility

ContactMusic.com is reporting that METALLICA drummer Lars Ulrich has hinted METALLICA are considering releasing outtakes from their documentary "Some Kind of Monster" — featuring lengthy sessions of the band in therapy.
Ulrich is keen to allow fans to see more of the acclaimed film, although he appreciates some scenes can be compared with rock documentary spoof "This Is Spinal Tap".
He says, "There's stuff in there that could be interesting for some people, but not for everybody.
"With some of the four or five-hour therapy sessions we went through — which have been poked fun at, and I appreciate that as well as the next 'Spinal Tap' aficionado - maybe we could do something where we left those things unedited, maybe for a two- or three-hour thing.
"Who knows? We can do it for the 12 people in the fan club who have insomnia!"

Remember when they drew straws b4 the bus accident that ended Cliffs life?...Just think which direction this band might have gone if it was one of the other guys...? I think they'd still be considered "metal"...in my book, they should've changed there name after cliffs death.Don't get me wrong, And justice was a good album,but what happened after that? I dunno.Cant really say they sold out...but whatever it was, I sure didnt care 4 it.Ever since then,I cant name one friggin song that I could even bare listening to, and I havent changed.Anyway, dont sound much like metal to me...oh yeah, one more thing...why do ya think they call this blabbermouth jackass <--(master music man)

To all die-hard fans of Metallica,
Shut the fuck up. You're fans of the most popular heavy metal band of all time, isn't that enough? Isn't it enough to know they can sell out any venue at any time? Don't you like that fact? Don't you like that, along with Ozzy, they're the most publically-accepted metal act? I mean, that's something to like in these days of rap and similar bullshit.
I love Type O Negative, but will they ever get the real recognition they deserve? Unlikely. Same goes for tons of other metal bands, of all different speeds and styles.

yes, outtakes. thats right, documentaries believe it or not, go through editing whoever thought a documentary couldnt have out-takes...

metallica are alright, and after seeing that movie ive got a lot more respect for them. lars has done a 180, just like dave mustaine has, and you know what, im sure they dont NEED anything anymore, anything they do is purely for music, or the fans.
cant wait to hear the next album with rob on it, itll shutup a lot of people on here i think.

It's amazing how shallow the metal community really is. Getting beside yourselves just because the band keeps their name even through times when your personal opinion doesn't have them under the metal genre. It's OK to listen to other things besides metal sometimes...if you think the only talent in music lies in metal you are quite oblivious. Sure, Metallica's newer music isn't metal, but it's still good, original music, regardless of what genre sticker you want to throw on it. They haven't changed at all in 20 years the one aspect that is who they are...the fact that they make music that they want to make, and they don't give a fuck if people want to bitch and moan about it.
