NIGHTWISH: Fall U.S. Tour Cancelled

According to a posting on the web site of the Jaxx nightclub in West Springfield, VA, Finland's NIGHTWISH have cancelled their fall U.S. tour. The group were originally scheduled to tour the U.S. in April but ended up postponing those plans "due to commitments close to home on the part of vocalist Tarja Turunen," according to the group's U.S. record label, Roadrunner Records. I'm guessing those commitments included that duet with Germany's answer to Clay Aiken she was rumored to be working with. What was the point of that anyway?

To the idiots who said wrong season, it is the right season. They originally cancelled their Spring tour and rescheduled for the Fall. Now the Fall tour is cancelled.
I'm not losing sleep either. I saw them last year at BB Kings and Sonata Arctica is still having a North American tour so I am happy about that. I will see Sonata open for Overkill at BB Kings.

sorry, I fail to see how two stops in the US is a tour. i was pissed when they rescheduled and sonata wasnt on the bill anymore. Sonata needs to come to Seattle...they have tons of fans here

any show scheduled that early and listed on the JAXXSUXX website is always going to be cancelled.
I remember the days of constant cancellations, as recent as 2001.
Still it sucks if the whole tour went down under.

roxx man. they book metal shows all of the time. you keep complaining and they will go back to that latino music night crap again. please dont do that. and its a hell of alot better than that ripoff your money thunderdome that i heard was closing thankfully.

the norva is the only large club in my area, it's very nice, but all they ever book anymore is indie and core shit... jaxx gets all the good shows...

the promoters jump the gun and the band gets blamed. NONE OF
THOSE DATES (other than the New England fest) WERE EVER CONFIRMED BY THEIR BOOKING AGENCY. I hope the "Nemo" single hits big over here and they pull off a much bigger tour.

I've seen them live just this monday in Wieze, Belgium and let me tell you... I think this was already 2005's best concert! I hope for you guys overseas that this isn't correct because you really should see this!

THE BOOKING AGENCY DID SAY THE DATE WAS GONNA HAPPEN. NOT TO MENTION THEY ALSO SAID THE PREVIOUS DATE WAS GONNA HAPPEN. THE REAL DISAPPOINTMENT IS WHEN A HARD WORKING CLUB OWNER ALL OF THE SUDDEN HAS NO MONEY FOR RENT BECAUSE OF BOOKING AGENCIES AND BANDS LIKE THESE.
