LAMB OF GOD: Controversial 'Now You've Got Something To Die For' Video To Air This Weekend

LAMB OF GOD's controversial video for the track "Now You've Got Something To Die For" will receive its world premiere this Saturday, March 5 on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball". The video will also debut on Fuse's "Uranium" on Monday, March 7.
The video, consisting of live performance and backstage footage taken during the "Ashes of the Wake" tour, did not initially pass either MTV or Fuse network standards, but will air with several scenes censored due to graphic content. The uncensored video is slated for inclusion on the group's upcoming DVD release, "Killadelphia", due on April 19 via Epic Records. The "Killadelphia" disc will consist primarily of footage filmed during the band's two performances at Philadelphia's Trocadero on October 16-17, 2004. Directing the shoot was Doug Spangenberg of High Roller Studios.
LAMB OF GOD's first album, released under the group's previous moniker BURN THE PRIEST, will be reissued by Epic Records on March 22. Remixed and remastered by metal guru Colin Richardson (MACHINE HEAD, FEAR FACTORY, NAPALM DEATH), and featuring new liner notes by original producer Steve Austin (CONVERGE, TODAY IS THE DAY, UNSANE), the album was originally released on the Legion label in 1998 and features artwork by K3n Adams.

I don't know why people feel compelled to rag on a band because they become semi-popular and are on a few mag covers. I'm not saying Lamb of God are a unbelievably great band, they're very solid with a good live show, but the reasoning behind the hate is ridiculous. Come up with a better reason to hate a band then "The riffs sound like rehashed South of Heaven" or some shit like that.

It's been documented that Led Zeppelin rehashed alot of other bands stuff too and nobody seemed to care when they did it. Good recommendations with Pig Destroyer and Behemoth though. Those bands kick ass.

dude, you can take almost any riff or guitar or drum beat and realte it to anything else. they alll fall back onto maybe 2 or three bands. one being black fuckin' sabbath. does iommi sue over this shit, no he knows. and state of the art metal? do they have lasers? or some insturment that is unknown to man? highly doubtful. let people have thier own oponion, don't judge em and say, oh they are rednecks. how do you know i'm not your doctor or you mayor, or someone you look up to? how can you judge someone. just be happy you can listen to it. i'm deaf in one ear, believe me, its not the best. listening to headphones is rough, espically when i fly and stuff. and i like lamb of god. people like you are the ones that are called jackoff artists.

Top of the list in metal? I just got back from the local album shop and put down $13 on the new Kreator (finally!) and I must say that I am enjoying it very thoroughly as I type. As for others...there are quite a few ELITE bands out there and it would take too much of my time to type them out. I will say this though. Regardless of all the great NEW music out there, I'm having an awfuly hard time taking "Helloween E.P./Walls of Jericho" and Obituary's "World Demise" out of my cd rotation for the past couple of weeks. This new Kreator will do for the moment though...
