Video Of KISS' Appearance On 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' Posted Online - Mar. 6, 2005
Video footage of KISS giving a young cancer survivor the thrill of his life last when they paid him a surprise visit on his 10th birthday has been posted online.

David Dingman-Grover and his parents were booked as guests on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show", where they discussed the young boy's achievement of beating the odds to survive the removal of a cancerous brain tumor, which his family were told was inoperable.

DeGeneres ended the interview by bringing out the youngster's favorite band, who gave him a signed guitar.

KISS guitarist/vocalist Paul Stanley said, "This is so important for us to be a part of a miracle. People talk about we're past the age of miracles but here's proof David is a living miracle and we can all be a part of it."

I am a cancer survivor and a life-long KISS fan, and if you don't think that was a great gesture, you don't deserve to be alive. Everyone is ready to bash KISS but you don't see many bands do something like that....

There's been a rumour floating around the past couple of weeks about Paul leaving the band....guess this will put that to rest.

For those of you who don't know, Tommy Thayer from "Black 'n Blue" is Ace's replacement and that was a black haired Eric Singer in for Peter.

Very classy move on behalf of Kiss. You can't watch that video and not think it was cool. That kid looked totally blown away.

this is the boy whose parents created the "frank must die" bumper stickers sold on ebay to assist with the medical bills. david named his brain tumor frankenstein and that's where it all came from. the frank story received a lot of media coverage...

but I would've made Paul give up the broken mirror "Iceman" guitar. Now that would be a real kind gesture.

I hope David gets well.

I was so happy to see the look on David's face when his heroes came out with the cake. I feel the fact that Paul's son Evan is around the same age (he'll be 11 yrs old in June), was NOT lost on Paul. I had a smile on my face the rest of the day.

Kiss is the be all end all for millions of people worldwide. Many of the greatest heavy metal musicians today would not have picked up an instrument, were it not for KISS. Dimebag Darrell is a prime example, and I'll bet you never heard him talking shit about these legends. Their last record may not be their greatest work, but they still kicked MAJOR ASS on their last tour. Anyone that does not enjoy a KISS show has got to be brain dead in my opinion. Still the best show on earth. Classy thing that they did for that kid David...a dream come true for him.
