ACE FREHLEY's 'Remedy' To Receive DVD Release On March 29 - Mar. 14, 2005
The movie "Remedy", starring former KISS guitarist Ace Frehley, will receive a DVD release on March 29. The movie, which features Frehley in the role of "Johnny," will have national video distribution via MTI Home Video in Blockbuster as well as other stores, according to a previous e-mail received by BLABBERMOUTH.NET from the film's lead writer, Nicholas Reiner. A trailer for the film can be viewed at this location.

According to the movie's official web site, "Remedy" is "film-noir in the fast lane — a darkly comic tale. It is the mystery surrounding the murder of one of a tightly knit band of friends. Extreme indulgences and the never-ending New York nightlife drive the group into realms of insanity. Eventually they destroy each other and themselves."

A few years back there was word about Ace working on a new solo album...or at least some material, but now I can find absolutely nothing. What's going on, has Ace retired fully completely from the music business?

I respect all members of Kiss, old and new.

But I don't understand what everyone's problem with Tommy and Eric are. Everyone calls them "scabs" and shit... without realizing that they are LIGHT YEARS ahead of Peter and Ace as far as musicianship. Ace Frehley IMO has always been a very overrated guitar player and I've always thought paul was better than him anyway. Shit, I think Revenge.... WITHOUT Ace OR Peter, is Kiss' best album of all time, and Carnival of Souls kicks ass as well.

Can anyone honestly remember anything mindblowing that Ace has ever done on guitar? The main riff to "Unholy" blows away anything Ace has ever done.

Also, the reason why Ace hasn't released his solo album as he said so in 2003, is because apparently he got back with his ex-wife Jeannette or what ever her name is, and has been getting himself cleaned. He also did Remedy, which helped him get a mind off being a rock and roll guitarists and partying all the time, which led him to drugs. If you read the January 2005 issue of Guitar world (i think it was that one), he says he has been starting to work on his material again. Hopefully, it will be a decent job.

Coolness, thanks for that bit of news. Like I said earlier, I could find nothing out here on the net...maybe I just wasn't looking hard enough, but hell, Blabbermouth probably woulda posted something about Ace & new music if it was happening.

Quote from Phosgen:
"I hope his acting has improved since Kiss Meets the Phantom of the Park."

Now THERE'S a movie I'd like to see released on dvd. Preferrably by Blue Underground or Synapse... A cool 3-disc special edition... sigh...
