Speaking to MTV.com, AUDIOSLAVE singer Chris Cornell (ex-SOUNDGARDEN) said of the upcoming tour, "I can just go out onstage and get lost in the music and get lost in whatever it is I am doing and it becomes transcendent, and it is kind of addictive now.

"With AUDIOSLAVE, I've really started to like the road a lot. There is a certain dedication and work ethic that the band has from the first day that I met them," he explained. "None of them would leave the stage of the rehearsal room even when I would take a break and when I left the room. ... It's an experience that very few get to have and it is such a positive one."

AUDIOSLAVE recorded their still-untitled second album, due May 17, with producer Rick Rubin, who also helmed their 2002 self-titled debut. Among the songs slated for inclusion are: "Doesn't Remind Me", "Out of Exile", "The Curse", "#1 Zero" and "Your Time Has Come".

The album's first single, "Be Yourself", was released to radio last week; a video will be shot this month and is expected to air in April.

I was very impressed with their debut, I thought it was a very well written cd. The tunes had a shitload of groove to them and I loved that. Chris Cornell is one of the best vocalist around and he showed it yet again on their debut cd.

I'm looking forward to the new cd. It'll be hard to top the first one, but it took me a while to totally get into that one and now I can't get enough of it. I'm sure this offering will be the same deal.

Audioslave is a great band... I think the lyrics on the first cd are really deep and fascination.... especially "what you are" and he definitely a great singer along with maynard.... Soundgarden was great also and it was sad to see them break up... But as long as Chris is still rockin and makin really good music all with the rest of the fellas its all good....
