QUEEN And PAUL RODGERS Live Tour Downloads To Be Made Available Online
- Mar. 21, 2005
According to MelodicRock.com, QUEEN will be making live tracks available for download exclusively on QueenOnline.com after each show on their forthcoming tour. You can burn these tracks onto a special packaged blank Q+PR CD that is available to buy in the site online store. The idea is that once you have purchased the disc you can then burn the live tracks to it and create your own QUEEN + PAUL RODGERS live album. It's for a good cause...If people patronize these "Official" downloads, maybe more groups will offer them...I'm looking at some Gov't Mule shows...It would be cool to get Maiden shows, too...If you go to the web site, they offer Official Bootlegs as well...

I support them. At least they're not simply calling it Queen.
The Doors did the same thing but called it The Doors of the 21st Century.... the only reason I didn't like that was because fucking Ian Astbury recited Jim's poetry on stage. That shit is fucking sacred, man!!!
There are only two singers that I can think of that should ever sing for The Doors: Glenn Danzig and Scott Stapp (I can't stand the fucker, but he did an AWESOME job on The Doors covers I heard) Travis Meeks (Days of the New) would also do a great job. NOT fucking Ian Assberry!!

Just as good as Morrison. Check out these lyrics:
The Cult Born To Be Wild lyrics
Get your motor running Head out on the highway Looking for adventure And whatever comes our way
Yeah darling, gonna make it happen Take the world in a love embrace Fire all of your guns at once And explode into space
I like smoke and lightning Heavy metal thunder Racing with the wind And the feeling that I'm under
Yeah darling, gonna make it happen Take the world in a love embrace Fire all of your guns at once And explode into space
Like a true nature's child We were born Born to be wild We can climb so high I never wanna die
Born to be wild Born to be wild, yeah
Get your motor running Head out on the highway Looking for adventure And whatever comes our way
Yeah darling, gonna make it happen Take the world in a love embrace Fire all of your guns at once And explode into space
Like a true nature's child We were born Born to be wild We can climb so high And I never wanna die
Born to be wild Born to be wild, ow

Born to be wild is a Steppenwolf song, that Ian Astbury had nothing to do with (other than covering it).

Have you been living under a fucking rock your entire life?!!!
That's definitely a Steppenwolf song.
REAL Cult lyrics
FIRE WOMAN
Fire woman, yeah
Shake, shake, shake, shake it, yeah
Wound up, can’t sleep, can’t do anything right, little honey Oh, since I set my eyes on you I tell you the truth T-t-t-t-twistin’ like a flame in a slow dance, baby You’re driving me crazy Come on, little honey Come on now
Fire Smoke, she is a rising fire, yeah Smoke on the horizon, well Fire Smoke, she is a rising fire Oh, smokestack lightning Smokestack lightning
Well, shake it up, you’re to blame, got me swayin’ little honey My heart’s a ball of burnin’ flame Oh, yes it is Trancing like a cat on a hot tin shack Lord, have mercy Come on little sister Come on and shake it
Fire Smoke, she is a rising fire Oh, smoke on the horizon, yeah Fire Smoke, she is a rising fire Oh, smokestack lightning, baby
I was thinking what I’ve been missing I’ll tell you truthfully, well She’s coming close now Oh, I can feel her She’s getting close to me And I never, yeah
Fire Smoke, she is a rising fire Oh, smoke on the horizon Fire Smoke, she is a rising, rising, rising fire Smokestack lightning A-j-j-j...
Burnin’ out And shake it baby Gotta have money
Stand down in front of me Say, stand down in front of me Say, stand down in front of me, yeah
Fire woman, you’re to blame...
Yeah brilliant fucking poetry!!!!
It's much better than Jim's poetry. Moron.

COMMENT | Just good to be able to see Queen posted by : DARKBASS 3/21/2005 7:07:01 PM
Although I understand Freddie Mercury was an amazing frontman...........and he had a great voice...........
I am happy to be able to get the chance to see Queen........ Paul Rodgers is a cool guy too..........should be interesting how the songs work out with his voice...........
I am not old enough to have seen queen when Freddie was still alive......
I dig a lot of their stuff..........but for their time.......Queens' first two albums are fucking killer!

I wasn't trying to be funny, asshole! I was trying to make a serious argument... if you seriously think that Jim Morrison's poetry suck... you must have some kind of backwards perspective on life. You probably think Limp Bizkit writes great poetry, or maybe even Poison. A lot of Jim's poetry was incredible.
And Alf is God... I love the Cult... I just wasn't too impressed with the bootlegs I heard with Ian singing with them. I'm glad they're still playing music, but I think they could have had a better choice.
Beyond Good And Evil is a very underrated Cult album though, I'm sure you'll agree with that one. There really are some great lyrics on that one.
