DAVE MUSTAINE Says ANTHRAX Will Not Be Touring With MEGADETH This Summer - Mar. 31, 2005
MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine has shot down rumors that the classic pre-1993 lineup of ANTHRAX is one of the bands confirmed to appear on the MEGADETH-headlined summer U.S. tour. An official press statement announcing the other groups and dates for MEGADETH's trek is expected to be made available in the next day or two. Rumored acts for the package tour include FEAR FACTORY, NEVERMORE and DREAM THEATER.

ANTHRAX's exclusion from MEGADETH's summer touring plans increases the likelihood of the Joey Belladonna-fronted group filling the "mystery band" slot on the main stage at this year's Ozzfest. An official press conference announcing ANTHRAX's upcoming touring plans is scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, April 1.

who shows up to an Anthrax press conference? I could guess there might be a handful of people from some of the larger metal rags and *maybe* even from larger music mags like Rolling Stone or something. Can someone fill me in? How many people need to be present to qualify something as a press conference?

is if the tour wasn't a stadium tour. The Jaxx website says Nevermore will hit them, implying a club tour.

I sure as hell hope not, where does industrial metal fit in with Megadeth? Get Testament on this tour!

it just to see Megadeth and Dream Theater. Best thing about it is Dream Theater puts out some cool ass heavy shit. But some of there soft stuff is just annoying to sit through live and listen to most of the time, but I'm sure on this tour package they would leave the soft shit at home and just go out and rock. They have to be one of the most talented bands on this earth. I'm not a huge fan of them but damn some of there heavy shit is just so sick.

Anthrax will most likely tour with Ozzfest...Sharon is responsibile for "butt plug Joey" fronting the band again.

John Bush is the king.......maybe he'll do another Saint album?

now that's worth the price of a ticket. Even if it were just Megadeth and Nevermore I'd be there, Dream Theater is icing on the cake.

It'd be cool for Dave to bring out Warrel's old band Sanctuary, seems how Mustaine produced their first album. Nevermore would be a suitable fit for this tour..

..and evrybody's reuniting

To chime in on the Fear Factory debate, they kick ass.

I never cared too much for Dream Theater, but Nevermore are really fucking good. A Megadeth/FF/Nevermore/Dream Theater tour would be killer.

Anthrax really took a dive after "Among The Living" when they released "Sound of White Noise," the best-selling album of their career, which is arguably their best material up until "We've Come For You All"

That's cool. Sure, it would be better with the reunited Testament and Exodus (except if the new singer sings like Steev Esquivel). I don't know why but i don't care about Anthrax. Maybe it's because Scott and Charlie's constant whining about not playing on any tour or not being on sale at every store. Now that they sold their souls in reuniting with the old line-up, i guess they'll stop crying if they are on Ozzfest.

Sanctuary broke up because Lenny was writing grunge styled material for their third album. Warrell Jim and Jeff didn't want to have anything to do with that.

While Dave and Jeff are good friends, Warrell is another story. Dave Mustaine seems to act like Sanctuary never happened and Warrell knows this. I don't think they're the best of friends.

fits on that bill quite nicely. But some see it necessary to say shit that will never be heard by the bands they talk shit about, and im damn near positive that if they had their thoughts in line about the band that they hated, they'd never say shit to them in person. Now, there are plenty of bands that I dont like, but I just know that there is no such thing as bad music if I listen to what I like. But those people who bitch and complain "oh, fear factory sucks man... WAH! WAH!" FUCK YOU!!!! Keep your opinions, but dont talk shit like a little bitch and life will be must less stressful and that basement you live in will be ancient histroy. Grow up, grow a dick, and if you say one word about what Ive said, I wont hear it, cause all you motherfuckers are history, PEACE.

That some people jump on one of these threads to bag on this or that particular band. Losers. Why don't you just hop on one of your "favorite" bands pages and say how great you think they are? Isn't there something better you could be doing with your time?

Also, while I like Fear Factory, they certainly do NOT blow King Diamond out of the water.
