Hard Rock Cafe Celebrates AC/DC Guitarist's 50th Birthday - Apr. 4, 2005
According to The Sacramento Bee, Hard Rock Cafe is celebrating the 50th birthday of Angus Young of AC/DC (it was March 31) by giving a free Legendary Burger (made with Angus beef, get it?) to anyone named Angus. It can be your first, middle or last name, but it has to be official — as in showing up on a government-issued photo ID. A description of the burger, taken from Hard Rock's web site, is as follows:

"Get ready AC/DC . . . there's a new Angus in town! For more than 33 years, Hard Rock Cafe has been known for great American food and its unparalleled collection of memorabilia from the world's greatest rock legends including ELVIS PRESLEY, JIMI HENDRIX, U2 and NIRVANA. Now, Hard Rock Cafe announces the addition of the world's next great icon — the Legendary Burger, our tastiest burger yet, made with 10 ounces of Certified Angus Beef, the world's premium brand of fresh ground beef."

I love watching the new Family Jewels DVD. Riff Raff is rock n' roll perfection. AC/DC where untouchable in the late 70's and early 80's.

this is strange that he turns 50, since for the longest time I though that on calendars or birthday listings they state he was born in 1959 and not 55 but oh well I might have been seeing things.

They used to claim he was born in 59 because of the school boy thing. That was way back when they started though, but it has followed him ever since

Angus and Malcolm,,,,AC DC,,,,30+ years of straight riffing and 4/4 stomping beats.

Can you even count the bands that have made it today using the same riff based formula?

My Goodness,,,,,,,that shit band Buckcherry comes to mind......every single riff,,,,stolen from AC DC....all these kids , Jet,,,etc,,,they even are going with the Malcom Young haircut for Godsakes....its RIDICULOUS that AC DC arent in the Rock and Roll hall of fame.

Is there a more consistent rock album than Back in Black?

What I meant was that it's not hard for me to believe, AC/DC is one of the greatest bands of all time. I just can't believe those brain-dead fucks who run the Hall of Fame let them in. I like Brian Johnson but Bon was the man. I got to see them on the Highway to Hell tour.

Some of you would be wise to exercise this virtue.
