AC/DC's MALCOLM And ANGUS YOUNG Putting Finishing Touches On New Material
- Apr. 8, 2005
AC/DC's Malcolm and Angus Young are currently at a "little studio in London putting the finishing touches" on the material for the group's upcoming album, singer Brian Johnson revealed during an appearance on the "Nights with Alice Cooper" syndicated radio show on Wednesday (April 6). No timetable has been set with regards to the CD's possible release date, but it is unlikely that any new material from the band will surface before late 2005 at the earliest.
In other news, Johnson made an appearance on March 24 at the Khrome club in Sarasota, Florida, performing the AC/DC classics "Back in Black" and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap" with BIG MACHINE and "Rock 'N Roll Ain't Noise Pollution" with THE GREG BILLINGS BAND. Check out a few pictures: Photo#1, Photo#2, Photo#3, Photo#4.
Playing songs written by Johnson and guitarist/leader Doug Kaye, BIG MACHINE features former NEUROTICA/ATHEIST frontman Kelly Shaefer, Jeff Klosterman of JULLIET on drums, Joe Scibilia of LAST GREAT HOPE on bass, and Don Jaurols, formerly of E3 and SERAPHINE and a member of Shaefer's post-NEUROTICA band, UNHEARD, on guitar. Audio samples of BIG MACHINE's recently completed demos can be found at this location.

I really liked the bluesyness of Stiff Upper Lip. Really blue me away actually. Nobody can do it like they can. Yes there riffs maybe be a little simpler but you can never go wrong with them. I can think that every metalhead can agree on that atleast. Staright up rock, nothing more, nothing less. It's what the world needs. I'll be picking it up when it comes out for sure.
Maybe this will put them up on top of the Wiggles for next years Australian money assesment report?
BeanDipMan...Imatation is the ultimate form of flattery, so now that you have lost all originality and took words from the very person you insult on a daily basis, you shouldn't say another "out of the way" thing about t-boner. Knowing you though, you will, so let me say in advance....Fuck you, your an unoriginal crybaby prick who don't know shit. So go eat some cheese rat, and lay off the shit slinging.
COMMENT | SDMF04....you sound like the crybaby prick to me posted by : BeanDipMan 4/9/2005 4:46:48 PM
I didnt mean to insult you buttbuddy T-Boner, so fuck off... I am surprised, though, that you managed to pull your hand out of his ass long enough to give your 2 cents on this thread.
And seriously,
"So go eat some cheese rat"???
Thats about as fucking lame they come, SDMF04.... Before you try and insult me, get your head out of your ass and least come at me with something...
Fucking idiot.
COMMENT | why are there such long delays, in general? posted by : blueshirt 4/9/2005 8:03:32 PM
If they are putting the finishing touches on it, why would late 2005 be the earliest possible release date?
In the 70's and early 80's, it was common for bands to write, record, and release an album AND play 100 shows on 5 continents every single year. Now most artists release records every 3 or so years.
The only explanation I've heard is that they don't want to "saturate the market." If (and this is a big "if") you make great songs, then the market is far from saturated. If however, your songs are shitty and you are yet another shitty band that saturates the market, then yes, your few fans can only tolerate about 10 songs from you per half decade.
