KISS Frontman PAUL STANLEY Collaborates With Power-Pop Outfit THE CLICK FIVE

KISS frontman Paul Stanley has collaborated with Boston-based THE CLICK FIVE on the track "Angel to You (Devil to Me)", which is set to appear on THE CLICK FIVE's debut CD, "Greetings From Imrie House", due on August 2 via Lava.
Stanley reportedly co-wrote the track with THE CLICK FIVE keyboardist Ben Romans at Stanley's home studio. The song also features a guest appearance by Elliott Easton of THE CARS.
THE CLICK FIVE, which bills itself as a power pop quintet "on par with CHEAP TRICK and MATTHEW SWEET," has sold over 10,000 EPs in a few short weeks on tour and has experienced countless tales of fan frenzy at their after-show signings, according to SILLive.com. THE CLICK FIVE's first single, "Just The Girl", will hit the airwaves May 23.
THE CLICK FIVE have already graced concert bills with the likes of ASHLEE SIMPSON, ALANIS MORISETTE, BARENAKED LADIES and ROD STEWART and will announce their summer tour shortly.

Give him some credit for actually MAKING music, not trying to market a gimmick. Gene could learn a thing or two from Paul's efforts. IT IS ABOUT THE MUSIC...even though Paul could have picked something less fruity to do.

seeing as I happen to like Cheap Trick and Matthew Sweet.
And no, I'm not giving up metal.
Music's like women, there are all kinds.
All of them are a good time to someone.

Awesome band, I think it is odd to hear that as a reference these days even though it is cool.

is a criminally under-rated guitarist. Fantastic! Admit it, those solos he palyed in The Cars stick in your head bigtime.

its a pretty good song! Very guitar power pop, kinda like STACY's MOM (Fountains of Wayne).. Catchy, with a good hook (might not lend itself to the metal crowd, exactly, but...)

Ya , I think Paul has always been about the music. If the money flowed afterwards then so be it. His home is on the stage .

I bash Kiss because of the constant money vulture crap Gene does, but I think Paul is the more laid back musician type. Gene is the one who sees $$$$$ everywhere.

Although this collaboration doesn't sound like my cup of tea musically, I've got a lot of respect for Paul for actually making MUSIC as opposed to money.
And hey, Melon, fuck you in the ear with a big black rubber dick.

I hope people see now, that Gene is the problem of KISS. He is behind all the marketing bull shit. And, if Paul; agrees on some merchandise here and there, at least his main concern is music, being creative. His solo album what will hopefully return the good word of himself, and the respect he deserves for being a musician first. Sure, KISS is a gimmick with the costumes and all, but Paul is always and was always there musically.

I was able to meet Paul at a KISS concert in 1981. He is a class act both onstage and off. It is great that he is making music with other bands.
I honestly believe that Paul has and is the backbone of KISS - he has wrote and sung more material then any other member in any lineup. I am looking forward to his new solo album which is probably going to be excellent - unlike Gene's solo album which.............was not very good.
And in response to all the KISS haters going on about Eric and Tommy being in the current lineup.............I went to the Virginia Beach show last year and the new lineup sounds MUCH better then it ever did with Ace and Peter, the show was also 95% sold out. Yes I would like to see some new stuff to show what this lineup is truly capable of, but at least Tommy and Eric want to be there and sound great - if any of you dont believe me the show was filmed for a DVD which will be released in a few months. Buy this DVD and see for yourselves.

I would drop the Ashley Simpson, "graced bills" part of the media buzz if I were them. Let the music speak for itself.
