MEGADETH Confirmed For Israel's METALIST FESTIVAL

YNetNews.com is reporting that MEGADETH will play in Israel for the first time, marking the third top international performer to announce concert dates in Israel since Prime Minister Sharon and Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas declared an end to four years of violence.
MEGADETH will take part in Israel's annual "Metalist Festival" on June 22 at the Hangar 11 club in Tel Aviv, event managers confirmed.
The festival will also feature performances from 12 other heavy metal bands from Israel and around the world. Tickets are expected to go on sale May 5.

You spend years blowing the shit out of another group of people (who IMO were 99% deserving of it, but anyway....), declare peace and then invite a band who write lyrics like those above and who's album titles include "Peace sells, but who's buying?"

Where is a terrorist when you really need one? Wow, I think it is ballsy of him to do this show over there, but more power to him.
Here is to Dave...I hope you come home in one piece, but watch your mouth because there are people there that don't give a pint of pee how many records you have sold. But if you get captured by terrorists, just tell them that you were once in Metallica...one can almost be sure that everyone in this world has heard of them.
Those fruitcakes probably think the Black Album was their best disk.

also u can see dave jumping in the jordan river which is in israel in the reckoning day video

I was at the same gig and I met the band after the show - Dave was cool as hell, I mean here's a real rockstar and he's taking quality time out after a show to hang it with his fans. He spoke to me for over 20 minutes and didn't feel presured for time at all! If I'd had more to ask him - I could have hung out with him for another 20 minutes! Don't get me wrong - I've met other rockstars - Lemmy,Geedy Lee, Fish, Glenn Hughes and more but Mustaine was by far the coolest.

Successful German rock group agrees to perform in Israel in summer after meeting young Israeli singer

TEL AVIV - German rock group The Scorpions is expected to perform in Israel this summer, after being impressed by a young Israeli singer during a Berlin fundraiser for the benefit of tsunami victims.
The band's management is presently in discussions with Israeli producer Shuki Weiss and if all goes well, the band will perform at Tel Aviv's Bloomfield stadium on July 7. However, sources close to Weiss say a contract has not yet been signed.
The Scorpions are considered one of the most successful rock groups of all times, with a long list of hits including "Still loving you" and "Winds of change".
Group members met young Israeli singer Liel Kolet two months ago at a Berlin fundraiser for the benefit for tsunami victims. Kolet performed John Lennon's "Imagine" with Scorpions lead singer Klaus Meine, a song the two plan to sing together at the concert in Israel.
'Meeting Scorpions more exciting than meeting Clinton'
Kolet's manager Irit Ten-Hengel said group members told Kolet they would agree to perform in Israel if Liel agreed to sing with them.
"The production team (in Israel) received confirmation and we finalized one performance at Bloomfield Stadium," she said.
Ten-Hengel said Kolet would also perform with The Scorpions at a concert in Frankfurt two days after the Israeli show.
"Kolet found meeting them even more exciting than meeting (President Bill) Clinton and Bono (U2's lead singer)," she said. "She loves rock music and knows all the lyrics of their songs."
