British heavy metal legends SAXON have been confirmed for MOTÖRHEAD's 30th Anniversary concert at the Hammersmith Odeon in London, U.K. on June 16. Also appearing on the bill will be GIRLSCHOOL.
In other SAXON-related news, the band have been added to the following DEEP PURPLE dates in Spain:
Jul. 27 - Quijote Rock - Puertollano / Ciudad Real, ESP Jul. 29 - Merida Rock Festival - Merida, ESP Jul. 30 - Festival - Atarfe / Granada, ESP
SAXON recently officially cancelled their tours of Europe, USA, South America and United Arab Emirates after the band's frontman Biff Byford suffered a major loss when his house in the Normandie area of France burned down. According to a statement from the band's management, Biff, his wife and their children got out of the house at the very last minute and nobody was hurt. The European tour dates have since been rescheduled for September/October.

fuckin rocks. Lionheart is their best album in my opinion yet. Some of the guys might have been around a long time but they just keep writing heavier stuff every album. Awesome!

but I wonder why Motorhead doesn't celebrate their 30th in the U.S. sure they originated from England but Lemmy spends most of his time in the beautiful U.S. drinkin' laying and generally having a blast here hes even been looking like a cowboy lately but he has to celebrate it in Englad? but I'll tell ya if Lemmy would squeeze the juice out of those legendary warts into a cup I'd then raise that glass scream the Ace of Spades the Ace of Spades and proceeed to drink and gargle in praise of the mighty Motorhead. \m/ no class, no class dog face boy!
