Violence Breaks Out At SLIPKNOT Concert In Iowa: Video Report Available - Apr. 30, 2005
Omaha's WOWT is reporting that authorities were called to the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa Friday night (April 29) after violence broke out at a concert featuring the band SLIPKNOT. At least one person was arrested.

There were two levels of tickets for the performance: balcony and floor.

Authorities say that an estimated 200 people rushed security guarding the entrance to the floor. The crowd overpowered security and overcrowded the floor.

Council Bluffs Police, Pottawattamie County Sheriff's deputies and the Iowa State Patrol were all called in to restore order.

One person was stunned by a Taser, arrested and taken to the hospital.

Additional officers were called in early to maintain order.

Approximately 6,000 people were attending the concert.

People also rushed the floor in Phoenix breaking down barriers also. I am sure these aren't the only two places where this happens. In Phoenix, people didn't make a big deal out of it though.

Big deal- I saw a few thousand people pull that move at a Who show once. I agree with dwnturn, too; fucking idiot promoters all
but guaranteed that something stupid (beside the bands) would happen.

blessed be.

I'm not at all suprised that happened. We had great seat just off to the side of the stage, and the Fucking security fuckheads kicked us all out of our seat! They said it was on orders from Slipknots manager but i don't belive it. Anyways after that no one gave a fuck what they said. People would tell them to eat shit. All in all it was a great show.

only 200? i saw much more than that once.
Pantera/Slayer/Morbid Angel/Static-X a couple of summers ago. i was in nosebleed at Cobo in Detroit, must've been about 1,000 or 1,500 just as Slayer was taking the stage. that completely chaotic scene, people just diving and climbing over each other to take to the floor and seeing dozens getting hauled off was fuckin' awesome to see. and no violence at that one, either. apparently Slipknot fans are just fucking stupid and try to start shit. they could at least do that shit peacefully........
