- May 2, 2005
Long-running Swedish death metallers DISMEMBER have been confirmed for the Trästocksfestivalen, set to take place July 21-23 in Skellefteå, Sweden. Other artists scheduled to perform at the festival include ANNA TERNHEIM, ELDKVARN and DARCY. More information can be found at www.trastock.nu.
In other news, DISMEMBER's new label Regain Records will reissue a major part of the band's back catalogue. The release dates are as follows:
June 13 – "Pieces" / "Indecent & Obscene" June 20 – "Massive Killing Capacity" / "Death Metal" June 27 – "Hate Campaign" / "Complete Demos"
DISMEMBER, who were previously signed to Karmageddon Media (formerly Hammerheart Records) and Nuclear Blast, are expected to begin recording the follow-up to 2004's "Where Ironcrosses Grow" later in the year.

Yes, odd that the demos would be reissued and not one of the top 5 death metal albums ever released.
In no order : Grave - Into The Grave Dismember - L A E Stream Entombed - Left Hand Path/Clandestine (hard to pick a fav) Bolt Thrower - The IVth Crusade Carnage - Dark Reflections
Damn...now that I think about it, there a lot of damn good albums out there! It's funny how most death metal is kind of boring now. Everyone sounds the same...ahh, the old days!

Isn't it Dark Recollections? That is one CD I am glad I own, as it is out of print from what I understand... Great tracks from beginning to end.

I believe LAES already has been re-released once, as a digipack cd. And I do believe that particular cd is still in print, hence Nuclear Blast doesn't wanna lose money. Greedy bastards as they are.

Oh, by the way, the demos sounds like a great buy. It's awesome, first the Nihilist demos and now the Dismember ones, soon all of the Stockholm scene from back in the early 90's will be available again.
