CKY Frontman Has A Message For DAVE MUSTAINE: 'Stop Creating Drama'

CKY guitarist/vocalist Deron Miller has slammed MEGADETH mainman Dave Mustaine for threatening to cancel any shows where "full-on Satanic" bands are also scheduled to appear. In a statement sent to BLABBERMOUTH.NET, Miller wrote, "reading that ROTTING CHRIST has to cancel shows because of Dave Mustaine's recent and absurdly sudden Christianity is one of the most obviously ridiculous dramatic newslines in music. This from the guy that wrote 'Wake Up Dead'.
"Dave, I love MEGADETH, but JOIN REALITY. METALLICA was more succesful...so what?! Get over it. And now all of a sudden Christ is your savior... How weak. Take some credit for your own accomplishments.
"Remember in the '80s when the parents of your fans insisted that YOU were Satanic? You have turned into them. Stop creating drama. Your music is suffering and the fans have noticed. You've given ROTTING CHRIST the 'HOOK IN MOUTH'!!!!!!! Don't ruin your legacy for the longtime supporters."

I don't really think anyone who is in a band that is also of the same name as a series of movies including dumb shit, is friends with Bam Margera(he knows a lot of important people), and is taking part in a tribute project to Death needs to make a statement like this for a publicity stunt.

Mustain wasn't trying to cancel any tour or change anyone's opinions. He is sticking to his belief set, and you are critical of that?
You losers suck. Just because you have no value or moral guideline for your life doesn't mean that others should follow you in your aimless meandering. Extend the same courtesy that Dave is extending. He didn't harp on this gay band at all, he just said that he no longer wished to be associated with that type of music or commentrary. Simple as that.

I enjoy some of their music. They've done alot of soundtrack stuff for skate videos, Viva La Bam, Jackass ect. Am I nuts about them, NO! As far as the music go's... it's kinda hard to describe.
If I had to classify them i'd say Alternative hard Rock with somewhat catchy grooves.

the main difference i think is that no slayer fan would plan to go to a Stryper show..
in Greece Megadeth fans have bought tickets for a gig where Rotting Christ is allso supposed to play, same goes for Israel where Dissection are supposed to be playing... with that in mind i feel that Dave is letting his fans down by not playing these gigs becouse he has different religon than Rotting Christ and Dissection.

At this point, nothing really surprises me when it comes to Mustaine. I remember someone on another thread on this subject, saying Mustaine just opened a big can of worms.
There is a humorous irony to everything Dave Mustaine does; His intentional attenion-grabbing tactics sometimes get only so-so reactions. But when he makes a knee-jerk statement that took about 3 seconds to formulate, based on a band name (never mentioning if he actually read their lyrics, to see if the content was blasphemous) people are all in a tizzy over it.
I guess now we'll all be waiting to see what Dave's response to Mr. Miller will be, and so on, and so on, just like a shampoo commercial. What a way to start the week, with carryover bitching from the weekend. Gotta' love Blabbermouth.
We're gonna' need an economy sized box of Kotex for all the bleeding pussies on here this week, methinks.

I think my days as a MEGADETH fan are numbered....i have read enough of dave's crying about religion....if he is going to boycott playing with bands that do not support his religious views....then i guess i will make an exception for him...i will no longer support MEGADETH because of dave's views.....wake up dave!...life is to short ...and your have proven your ability as a writer and have made a great comeback....if you want to call it that?....so all you are doing is pushing away the people that have supported you for all these years...Me?....i have backed MEGADETH since the beginning....but i think it will now come to an end. first off Dave said that he would never kick anyone of a bill nor that he would never play with a black metal band "Yes I did say I would prefer not to play on concerts with Satanic bands. No one knows for sure what their intent or content is, so I am nopt going to say they are." The show with RC on the bill can still be played, noone even said it was being cancelled, just that megadeth was thinking of opting out for another date. If RC is as good as some posters say, then the show will go on. Anybody out there attacking Dave for his beliefs while whining about how Black metal gets misjudged are the real hypocrits, or are you just too stupid to be able to read and understand?

If you want to compare album sales, then:
Volume 1 and IDR have both individually outsold the last two Megadeth records. "TSHF" has only sold 150,000- IDR sold well over 3 to 400,000. Not bad for 'a band that no one knows' right?

1st off Megadeth is now just like Metallica there no good, 2nd CKY is one of the best bands out there, and Derron Miller writes better music then anything Dave has done in the last 5-10 years. Poor Dave cant tour with a satantic band, cry me a river, CKy is better then any Megadeth, and Derons comments were great!!!!!

Who the hell are CKY never heard of them in my life i dont get it with these C list bands they are so jelious of the people who made music wot it is today Dave = teh man hes the 1 who made metallica what it is he was that good metallica stole half of his songs thats how amazing he is, i dont care what people say about mustaine hes the man he doesnt need to answer to any1. People should let people be who they want to be say wot they want to say and not start loadsa crap about wot he says. laterz
