METALLICA's HAMMETT To Guest On New SANTANA CD

METALLICA guitarist Kirk Hammett is featured on guitar legend Carlos Santana's new album, entitled "All That I Am", which is due for release on September 13. Kirk provides guitar parts in one of the songs on the album, which also includes various other artists collaborating on other songs. Kirk has previously worked with Carlos in 2001 at a live show benefit in San Francisco. Carlos was also invited into the HQ studio in 2002 while the band were recording "St. Anger". As you can tell I just finished watching SKOM for a second time. One of the best comedy/horror movies of the decade.

though we do try, our troops are spread all across the globe spreading freedom. We couldn't save the millions of people that we have found dead in IRAQ but we made sure that the 3 men most responsible for those deaths will never kill again.
2 of those monsters got their heads blown off.............People deserve freedom no matter where they are.......... If there was an upper level secret reason to go into IRAQ we will never know but what I do know (because I have friends there) is that our soldiers do take pride in freeing people from oppression. And one day maybe not even in my lifetime but one day some of the middle east will see democracy and have freedom and it will have started from these times ...... then hopefully we are all aware that broad generalizations of any particular group or nationality cannot carry any true validity. The whole recurring theme of bashing people due to their nationality (especially attributing a particular belief system to a nation) or any other handy label is completely absurd - as proven below:
1. Italy - Does every Italian share Silvio Berlusconi's beliefs on every topic? Do northern italians and southern italians have a similar appearance? Do everyday italians agree on decisions reached by the EU governing body? Do all Italians drive supercars?
2. The U.S. - do all people in the U.S. agree with President Bush? Do people living outside the U.S. even understand what America's stance is on any particular issue or do they rely on the opinions and generalizations of others? Does the opinion of any one person in America mean by default that everyone in the U.S. shares that opinion?
3. Every other country / race / group - insert your own examples here!
In any case, you get the overall idea. It is very unlikely for the government of any country to accurately reflect all of the values / attitudes / thoughts of all the country's inhabitants. I mean really... Blackviolin and Kull are from the same country but have often differing opinions on music (and other topics).
As always, agree or disagree with the individual's opinions, but by resorting to using generalizations or remedial statements (i.e. "your county sucks, dude!"), it simply projects that you have no further coherent thoughts or arguments to share. The effect is particularly pathetic when those making arguments have:
1. No knowledge of music
2. No knowledge of history of any country or continent.
3. No knowledge of any country's current events.
4. No knowledge of any other culture outside of their own immediate town / village / hovel...
5. No knowledge of economics.
6. No knowledge of business...
...and yet feel free to comment on all of the above!
Enough rambling for now, but someone had to say it! By the way, I'm not trying to "make generalizations" regarding some of these people who post, but when the discussions always denigrate to the same attacks and it is a waste of space!

Here is Santana's career. Mindless noodling over Journey and some congas. Mindless noodling over musicians who love him cause he was at woodstock. Nobody gives a shit about him anymore except Mexicans and I think they have proven to have shitty taste in music, it is hard to look gangsta and badass while you are rolling down the street blasting fucking polka music. So to solve his declining career, he gets a bunch of different top 40 music acts, has them write and record a song, and then he mindlessly noodles over them in the same fucking scale that he has been playing for the last 30+ years. Face it, he sucks. He wasn't even the best guitarist in Santana. Even Neal Schon wanted to kick him out!!!! That is why they all left and formed Journey!
And we come to Kirk Hammster. His own band has taken to hiding his fucking wha pedal from him! He used to play some cool fucking solos but ever since James started letting him record a rhythm track, he forgot how to solo. Maybe he was abducted by the same aliens who took Lar$' ability to play! Maybe the two of them were to busy tongue kissing and doing eachothers makeup to practice. Maybe, no definetely Metallica sucks the left testicles of countless donkeys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Because Canada isnt running around saying they are fighting for democracy when they are in fact fighting for something else (oil) like the US.

I take it you missed the part in 1994 when a Canadian general stationed in Rwanda on behalf of the UN tried in vain to garner support for a multinational peacekeeping group to prevent civil war from breaking out only to be rejected not just by the US but also the European Union (which used the then-civil war in the Balkans as an excuse to not get involved in Africa) as well as some African nations that feared a resurgence of colonialist times if peacekeepers were brought in. Watch "Hotel Rwanda" sometime and educate yourself.

I have seen him 8 times over the last 10 years and the last thing he is "racist!" his old shit is waaaay under rated now.. and its so much better

Until now I have never heard of the American Centerist Party.
And I would NEVER join it because I am a POLITICAL centerist, as in the middle ground between left and right. I am not an ETHICAL cenerist, as I believe that there can be no middle ground in some issues.
Once again you confuse politics and religion, either by accident or by design.

if you knew anything or maybe did a little research you would know that kirk had a solo for every last song on st anger but they just didnt put them in coz they wanted to "fit in" to the times
P.S Metallica only made st anger as it was in there contract that they had to make another album
P.P.S all that disrespects santana and kirk should be shot, brought back to life and then shot again
