MESHUGGAH's 'Catch Thirty-Three' To Air In Its Entirety Tomorrow

This band is fucking great...Just got Fredrick Thorndendal's solo album and that is some crazy shit. The guitar playing is phenomenal - so much jazz influence in the solos
I cant wait for this CD to come out - feels like a long time coming

Its prob not going to be your cup of tea...the singer is a growler and a screamer but it fits within the context of the music....Its def not like Dream Theater (also extremely brilliant)
But they play in interesting time sigs and very interesting arrangements - check it out

i like meshuggah but the riffs are repeated over and over again(everyone knows this already) im listening to chaosphere right now and almost all the solos sound exactly the same, but i do like this band a lot despite the repetition of the riffs and the monotony the solos, i still plan on buying catch 33

I'm a fan of this band(doesn't mean I worship them)and am definently checkn this out......Nothing was ok, but I'm hoping 4 something alittle more faster....I was right on w/me can't wait for the release!!!!!

i dig what meshugga does but as a musician, and not even just a musician but anyone who enjoys music, you have to ask yourself what are we listening to.
it soundslike rythmic noise most of the time, grabbing a hard heavy rythmn on the guitars and adding in the double bass with it. then we repeat this hard rythmn and play it for many hours, days, weeks, however long the new album is going to be. every once in a while we interlace some guitar solos and some incredibly trite lyrics. the guitar solos often sound like completley random notes, however in the correct key, just played all over.
so none of this is bashing them to say the least because there are two possibilities with the band. they either have no talent and are great fakers, or they are absolute geniuses in their own right and forging ahead with metal to help continue it's badassedness. i'm positive that choice two is the correct choice for us to think when hearing meshugga. it's a different approach than a straight forward stock song and it's refreshing in a way.
some people don't dig them and that's cool. but they do fuckin laydown some heavy shit and rule while doing so. so as a metal fan pass the hype and check it before passing judgement.

fuckitnblaze, do you have any idea why they are targetn you? cause you have no sense of humor(gayshuggah, funny though) man it comes w/ the territory.Hell my band gets shit from people who don't like our music........point is Meshuggah not worried about it nor are they gonna be like "Man, that post from Blabbermouth really tore me up....I think I'll go hang myself"so lighten up alittle!!!!Iremember that when Kurt Cobain killed himself I was always knocking on fans(yes I hate this band don't care for them)Kurt Nobrain, Nerdvana,etc,etc, only 10 yrs later to have one of metals best to ironicly get shot in the same place(yes he was murdered and kurt killed himself) now if I ever see all the people who I used to knock on(all nirvana fans)guess what, It will be open season for them......of corse I won't take lightly to this, but it's life deal with it....grab an instrument, and play some fucking music!!!!!!!!

Yeah genius, I remember reading the term "math metal" back in the late 80ies when Watchtower released their albums. Never heared of Watchtower? Thought so.
"The fact is, anyone that listens to the album "Chaosphere" and doesn't recognize the muscial brilliance that is Meshuggah is in fact a metal noobie/poser and should stick to the simpler music like Drowning Pool and Godsmack."
Right the fuck on. Everybody who isn't able to see the brilliance in Meshuggah's Destroy Erase Improve album or Thordendal's (Special Defects) solo release Sol Niger Within is a simpleton who knows nothing about music. Period.

find the song "war" download it, buy it or whatever and just listen to it.
To me this is prolly the heaviest fastest song i have ever heard in my life. the blast beat is in-humanly fast. (programmed?) the vocals, guitars everything is just the heaviest thing ive ever experienced and ive listened to fast shit, deicide, napalm, brutal truth etc...
fans, if you dont have this already, you NEED it.
