SLASH Action Figure Officially Unveiled

McFarlane Toys has officially unveiled the Slash action figure, which is scheduled to hit store shelves — the toy aisle, not the music aisle — in late September. One of the best-known, most-talented and easily recognizable artists in music, Slash ( VELVET REVOLVER, ex- GUNS N' ROSES) is a human action figure just waiting to happen. McFarlane Toys was happy to come to the rescue and put their sculptors to work re-creating Slash in 6-inch form. Two separate versions of the Slash action figure will be released, similar to McFarlane Toys' initial Jimi Hendrix figure. The regular clamshell Slash ( photos) will feature the action figure complete with leather jacket and tophat, guitar, one amp, one speaker cabinet and a support base. The other version will be a deluxe boxed edition ( photos) featuring the same Slash figure with guitar. This version, however, has two amps, two speaker cabinets and a larger stage-style base.

i'm usually not a fan of these things but i have to admit that this figure looks really good. the attention on the guitar and boots is great...

Any nerd knows that some action figures are worth something down the line. Those who kept their old Star Wars figgies or Kiss dolls from the 70s have collector items.

seriously... how about your action figure? a Bori action figure? let's have a Graahl action figure and a Varg Vikernes action figure all battling Stryper action figures...

Collectabilty is one thing, but the Star Wars Figures are only worth something now because no-one anticipated the "collectability" of them at the time. Even 20 years down the line thes figures are going to be worth very little.
Mind you I do know that these figures are quite popular in the BDSM scene where guys who want to "give birth" are sticking them up their asses and having "doll enemas"..apparently the Ulrich doll is highly "collectable" for this purpose because of how it exits the anus.

The les paul isn't right. Nice attention to detail. The section above the neck directly above the cutaway is fucked up looking.

i'm only 13 and i absolutely love Slash!!! so obviously i would think this is a good idea. but i'm not very sure about an Axl action figure, i just don't think it would work out. i don't think many people will buy the slash figure, but i definetly will!!! he's so sxc!!!;) anyways i think they should definetly make a ANGUS YOUNG action figure!! that would be awsum with the school uniform and evrything!
