H.I.M.: 'Dark Light' Track Listing Revealed?

H.I.M. fan site H-I-M666 Club has published the unofficial track listing for the new H.I.M. album, "Dark Light", due on September 26 via Sire Records. It is as follows: 01. Dark Light 02. Behind the Crimson Door 03. Face of God 04. Bound to be Wrong 05. Killing Loneliness 06. Under the Rose 07. Forever Haunted 08. Wings of a Butterfly 09. Night in Despair 10. Drunk on Shadows According to Billboard.com, "Dark Light" was mixed at New York's Electric Lady studios with producer Tim Palmer ( DAVID BOWIE, OZZY OSBOURNE). Frontman Ville Valo said the band was inspired by the works of film composer Angelo Badalamenti. "Our approach on 'Dark Light' was to work on key words to make the music more cinematic, epic, and close to the listeners," he told Billboard.com. The follow-up to 2003's "Love Metal", "Dark Light" was recorded at Los Angeles' Paramour studios with Palmer, who also worked on the band's last album. Ville Valo and his cohorts have lined up a handful of European and Japanese festival appearances during the summer. A North American jaunt is being penciled in for October and November.

This band kicks ass. I cant wait for the new CD. They are one of the few bands who consistently put out good cds that you can listen to over and over again and not get tired of. The cds arent one or two singles, and 8 or 9 "filler songs", all the songs are good.
If you have never listened to them, give them a chance. They arent really metal, but unless you are super narrow-minded you just might like them.

to hear it, if it actually does sound like the Misfits it's gonna be the first Him cd i buy. I doubt it will though, they also said "Love Metal" was gonna be "heavy" before it was released and it was far from being so. We'll see, To Separate the Flesh from the Bones are good anyway.

It will be hard to top "LOVE METAL", but I have faith it will be an awesome cd!!!
This will be one of the few great rock cd's to come out this year!!

..the hype surrounding this band. Just cause Bam Margera licks the singer's nuts all the time, all the kiddies immediately say they rule. Their songs and song titles are so cliche they make me wanna vomit. Oh, and the new DARKEST HOUR sucks ass.

Owe there career to Bam.
I like skating and Viva La Bam that's why I've heard of them.
I seriously don't get it.
One of there songs will come on Sirius now and then. I try to listen but end up switching the station. Shit is awful.

I saw their music video on a compilation along with Paradise Lost, Moonspell, Dimmu, Death, Tiamat, and Therion. I really like their first two albums, and the stuff after that is okay, but I would like to see them get a little bit harder with the music. Regardless, they are indeed very talented songwriters. Oh, and those who say Valo's gay need to keep thinking that to themselves as Valo pumps their girlfriends.

Ok, I can agree with those not believing that HIM is metal but for you fuckers who say that they got big because of Bam Margera, bullshit! Bam got into HIM after hearing a song which were allready on top of some list in germany, the song was from their albume Razorblade romance..which we all know isnt their first album. Ok if Bam has helped HIM in the states a bit by using their music in his movie ( Haggard ) and on MTV, but they allready had a career before Bam turned up with his heartagram tattoo. But hey, who likes Americans anyway...fuck them, HIM is scandinavian pure love metal! Dark Light will rock!
