Guitarist
Chris Dabaldo has apparently had a change of heart regarding his departure from
SALIVA. Despite posting a message on the group's web site over the weekend announcing his decision to leave the band,
Dabaldo has now retracted the statement, claiming that the group are "working through" their issues and are planning on recording a new album later in the year.
Dabaldo's original
posting, in which the guitarist stated that he was quitting
SALIVA "for obvious reasons, as the band is not a unit anymore," has since been taken down, and a new message from
Dabaldo has appeared stating the following:
"Hey guys, sorry for the alarming nature of my statement on 5/29 about leaving the band. There was a bit of an issue that we're working through and we're looking forward to recording a new album later this year. We'll see you on the road this October! I miss you all very very much."
SALIVA's most recent album,
"Survival of the Sickest", came out in August of 2004.
"Wanted", a new TV series in which
SALIVA singer
Josey Scott has a featured role as a sex crimes investigator, was recently picked up by the
TNT network and will begin airing in July.
Scott also appears in an upcoming movie called
"Hustle and Flow" that was produced by
John Singleton, director of
"Boyz N The Hood" and
"Shaft".
