Original GUNS N' ROSES Drummer Says 'Chinese Democracy' Is 'Crap', Threatens To Punch AXL ROSE

" Axl ruins it not for himself and for the rest of us ( Slash, Izzy, Duff, Steven) but he ruins it for the fans. We all know he is great but he has his moments, well lots of moments... he's a jackass basically, a fucking weirdo, and he can kiss my ass" says Alder. About "Chinese Democracy": "If he puts it out he thinks he'll sell 20 million copies. Well, maybe he's lucky if he goes gold. There's no hits on it, it's crap." Steven Adler does not rule out a reunion with all original GUNS N' ROSES band members but sets one precondition: "I have to punch [ Axl Rose] in the face. I have to get one good shot at him first. The fucker has wasted so much of my time, so much of people's times." TheRockRadio.com's interview with Steven Adler will air this Sunday during "Guns N' Roses Hour".

Axl is high strung, weird as they come, and probably needs to tone his attitude down about 2000 points.
He is however one of the absolute best at his craft.
You are pretty much time keeping background noise.
All that's required for a GNR re-union is for Scott to quit VR, and Axl to mellow out.
You do not fit in that equation.

Even if GnR did a reunion, they wouldn't use Adler. As a matter of fact, the only that ever talks about a GnR reunion is Adler, and he was kicked out, so do the math. Its just some cheically induced fantasy he's got goig on in his mind.
And I think Axl would kick his stuttering ass all over the block.

I bought, Appetite the week it came out, one of the greatest albums and lineups of all time. they could have been as big as the bands they themselves liked. Adler is awesome, in his own right, so are the rest of GN'R, from that time

Nothing against Adler, but how in the hell does he know whether or not Chinese Democracy has any hits on it. Has he heard the album somewhere. I don't believe he has. The few people who have had the opertunity to here the album have raved how great it is.

It could be the best album of all time, but that's not because of Steven. That group of guys just clicked and made something special, and it may never be reproduced.
I will say this as a HUGE GNR fan from back in the day. I never cared for Steven's playing. I mean, it's a 70 min demo for the company that makes his hi-hats. That was the one part of the album I could do away with. That's why when they got Matt, I was like... now these guys have a shot to top AFD. But they didn't, and I'm sure Axl's ego as well as the other guy's problems all attributed to that.
Here's a note for Axl though. Have you ever had someone tell you a long ass joke... one that just went on and on and then the punchline fell short of funny. Well, that's the problem he's going to have with CD, nothing...and I mean nothing he puts out will ever messure up to a 10 year wait for an album. So just release it, it's not going to get any better. Our expectations will just keep getting higher to the point of anything release will end up sucking.

The only reason Steve has anything is because of Axl, Slash and GNR. Shut up dude and move on like everyone else has. This might gain you some friends and enjoy life for a change. Axl has the money, has the name, and you have zero point shit. Also I recommend that you change the name of your band from Adler's "Appetite" or uncle axl will sue your ass, but for what.

I met Steven Adler at an Adler's Appetite gig here in Japan - and he's definitely damaged goods from years of drug abuse. But he was also really nice - humble - and really seemed to appreciate people's interest in him. And I talked to him for a long time and he never stuttered once - so that's basically bullshit. Obviously he's got a lot to say about the GNR thing - and yeah, some of it sounds bitter and even stupid. But when he sat down and played he was the same guy that halped make AFD such an exciting album. I doubt there would ever be a GNR reunion at all - let alone one involving him. But he was far better for the GNR vibe than Matt Sorum - who might be better technically but is kind soulless - or "too white", IMO.
Anyone thinking Steven Adler is in need of a paycheck is a fucking idiot. Got any idea how much this guy still collects in royalties every month? Trust me - it's a lot.
And the Current GNR is in no way a "band" - it's a bunch of guys on the payroll of the Howard Hughes of rock. I think Tommy Stinson gets paid extra to regularly kiss Bill Bailey's ass in the press. But if you think it's a band ask yourself this question - when's the last time you think all the members of this "band" were in the same room together?

I don't care much for the tracks I've heard off this new album by GNR but I'd believe NOBODY in here should be talking bad about Steven Adlers drug problems of the past witout throwing a few rocks at Axl Rose? Sure,I think Steve Adler's new band is alright but they're nowhere in the same league as old GNR and for Steven Adler to call Axl Rose a jackass is far off what this guy (James Hetfield) could call him after he almost handily caused a riot in Montreal on 8/8/92 after Metallica couldn't continue their set because James had just gotten burned.
It isn't Steven Adler that at the end of the day when all the stories about Guns N' Roses are written and movies released that could be deemed one of the saddest stories in music and if it hadn't been for his constant issues and always japping fans of shows as he's done it through the years maybe a dozen times or more. He's a pompous arrogant jackass and had he not been such a fuckup GNR would've been a hell of alot greater than they were.
