TOMMY LEE: VH1 Acquires Rights To Reality Show - June 8, 2005
Mediaweek.com is reporting that VH1 has acquired rights to the six episodes of NBC's upcoming reality series "Tommy Lee Goes to College"; a spokesman for the network said the first episode will run on cable just three days after the broadcast premiere, which is scheduled for August 16, with two back-to-back episodes slated to air on NBC starting at 9 p.m. ET.

The show, which was filmed last fall, follows the tattooed drummer as he studies, auditions for the marching band and attends Cornhusker games at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

Lee recently entered into an agreement with Handleman Company to have his new solo album, "Tommyland: The Ride", released on August 9 in conjunction with the reality show. Produced by Scott Humphrey, who along with Carl Stubner of Sanctuary Artist Management played an instrumental role with Handleman in constructing the new distribution concept, "Tommyland: The Ride" features guest performances by such established artists as Chad Kroeger of NICKELBACK, Carl Bell of FUEL, Deryck Whibley of SUM 41, Butch Walker, Joel Madden of GOOD CHARLOTTE, and Nick Carter of the BACKSTREET BOYS.

There are a lot of drummers more deserving than Hepatitus Lee.

Neil Peart
Roger Taylor
Charlie Watts
Jason Bonham

are just four who play circles around that jerk, Lee.

The list is a lot longer than the four I mentioned by far.

but decided to keep my list to living drummers only.

But Moon, as well as Jason's dad, John would have been included in an overall Coolest Drummers list.

I just kept it to living only in case T-Boner asked a dumb question like :

"Well if they're so cool, what have they done lately?"

Remember, this is T-Bonehead we're talking about. He might not know that Moon the Loon and others are currently dead, and likely to remain that way for the foreseeable future.

Legendary drummer for "The Who" Keith Moon is still dead.

Spokesmen for the band are saying that while Keith is indeed dead, his condition is stable, and he's resting peacefully.

Over-rated time-keeper for the 80's spam band Motley Crue, is reported to be looking for a parachute supplier.

When asked why, Lee stated " I expect my career to be in free fall after I release my solo album, and someone suggested that getting a parachute would be a great idea"

Look for possible chute endorsements in late '06-'07 timed to coincide with Lee's planned reality show "Impact".

As good as any of the above mentioned skin bashers. Personally, I think he's lost his mind and is still living his teen years, BUT he's a damn good drummer. Yall forgot to mention Lars, too.
