Commenting on his appearance at the event, Gary Moore said: "I'm taking part in the concert, out of my deep respect for Philip and on the very special occasion of the unveiling of his statue."

...would be a Thin Lizzy (tribute) tour with John Sykes and Gary Moore on guitars and vocals, Scott Gorham on (third) guitar, Bob Daisley on bass, Darren Wharton on keyboards and Brian Downey on drums! One can only dream...

It's good to see that there are so many Thin Lizzy members present at a festivity organized for the icon that is Phil Lynott.

im a proud irishman reading that. the man was a legend and the songs people know off by heart like Boys are back in Town and Dancing in the Moonlight werent even his best work imo. that says so much about him. this tribute is well over due. he's up there alongside Rory Gallagher in terms of Irish influence on world music

im gonna do my best to be there

Well my learned friend yes Phil was well know as the bassist with the best rock band of all time the one and only Thin Lizzy but before he formed Lizzy he played guitar in his earlier bands and it was Brush Shields that taught him bass!

If you check out some of his work after Lizzy split up you will also find that Phil played the guitar quite a lot!

And I am not too sure that JS is Phil's reincanation!

But this is some really great news and a very fitting tribute from the guys that knew him best!

I am sure Philomena will be very proud!

God bless her and god bless the memory of Philip Paris Lynott!
