ACE FREHLEY Presents LES PAUL With Signature Guitar - June 17, 2005

Original KISS guitarist Ace Frehley presented the legendary Les Paul with his own signature model of the guitar on Monday, June 13 at the Iridium Jazz club in New York. The "Ace Frehley Les Paul" was a gift from Frehley to Les in celebration of his 90th Birthday this week.

Aside from his love of the Les Paul guitar and the honor awarded Ace when his own signature model was issued in 1997, Frehley is a great admirer of the man himself.

"Les not only designed a great rock guitar but also invented multi-track recording as we know it today. He is the Renaissance Man of Rock," stated Frehley.

	According to kissrules, though, Ace is "all washed up". Funny that Les Paul doesn't seem to think so. Hmmmmm. Les Paul or kissrules...? I guess I'll go with Les. Rock on, Ace!

	I don't have any feelings towards ass, but I freaking despise Kiss. But Les Paul is an amazing guitarist and inventor. The guy to this day can still blow 99% of the guitarists alive out of the water. Just an amazing dude. And yes, I play Les Pauls. '57 Custom. Greatest guitar ever made in my opinion. What struck me as funny is that do you think Les really needed another guitar? Yeah, it was a cool gesture and all, but if he wanted one, don't you think he would just call Gibson and they would rush about 100 to his house? Seems a little strange to give a guy a guitar that is named after him. But hey, it was a cool move, just struck me as funny on first reading.

	so saying he can blow away 90% isn't really true he can't make chords or do chromatic runs so he hammers and slides to compensate hope i'm still playing at 90 though

	please do not attempt to associate yourself with the band Slayer. Kerry King would wipe his ass with you like a bear grabbing a rabbit in the woods who was out of toilet paper. Ace Frehley inspired so many genres of guitarists even through today that you could not begin to fathom. Please crawl into a hole and die already,you ignorant peice of trash. I will not defend Kiss but Ace is a different story. Oh and Les Paul legally and financially have no ties to Gibson any longer. So in reality he would have to buy one like the rest of us. So the gesture I think was noble and true.

	Ace was the man back in the 70's but he seemed to follow the wrong road as anyone could have in his position . Now look at him. He had a dream and made it come true though. Anyway I hope he comes out with a new album soon because most of his good stuff comes out when he isn't in KISS.
