HATER: Former SOUNDGARDEN Bassist Announces West Coast Tour Dates - June 21, 2005
HATER, the band featuring Ben Shepherd (SOUNDGARDEN, MARCH OF CRIMES), Andrew Church (BROADCAST OBLIVION, THE DROO CHURCH), Bubba Dupree (THE VOID, MOBY) and Andy Duvall (ZEN GUERRILLA), will be hitting the road this August. The group will be pulling out material from both HATER records as well as some brand new material. Confirmed dates so far are as follows:

Aug. 07 - San Francisco, CA @ Thee Parkside
Aug. 10 - Glendale, CA @ The Scene
Aug. 11 - Long Beach, CA @ Alex's Bar
Aug. 12 - Hollywood, CA @ The Knitting Factory
Aug. 13 - San Jose, CA @ The Blank Club

HATER released their second album, entitled "The 2nd", this past April via Burn Burn Burn Records.

The material, which was recorded between the SOUNDGARDEN albums "Superunknown" (1994) and "Down on the Upside" (1996), was mixed by Shepherd.

In addition to Shepherd and ex-SOUNDGARDEN drummer Matt Cameron, "The 2nd" features guest spots by MONSTER MAGNET/WELLWATER CONSPIRACY principal John McBain, MARK LANEGAN BAND bassist Alan Davis, RED DRESS drummer Greg Keplinger, DEVILHEAD's Brian Wood and MINISTRY/R.E.M. drummer Bill Rieflin.

Ben Sheppered is a brilliant songwriter, and a very original bass player. I'll be happy to get my hands on this.
