SEPULTURA Drummer To Collaborate With Hardcore Rapper NECRO - June 21, 2005
SEPULTURA drummer Igor Cavalera will be collaborating with hardcore Brooklyn rapper NECRO on a track for NECRO's upcoming release, "Circle of Tyrants".

NECRO's most recent CD, "The Pre-Fix For Death" (Psycho-Logical Records), featured guest appearances by OBITUARY members John Tardy and Trevor Peres, Danny Lilker (NUCLEAR ASSAULT, ex-BRUTAL TRUTH), Danny Diablo (a.k.a. Lord Ezec of SKARHEAD/CROWN OF THORNZ), Jamey Jasta and Sean Martin of HATEBREED, Sid Wilson of SLIPKNOT and Away of VOIVOD.

SEPULTURA shot a live DVD on April 3 in São Paulo, Brazil for a late 2005 release. The group's complete setlist for the show can be found at this location.

As previously reported, SEPULTURA are in the process of writing material for their new studio album, which is said to be based on the "The Divine Comedy", widely considered the greatest epic poem of Italian literature, and one of the greatest of world literature.

SEPULTURA's latest CD, "Roorback", was issued in North America in August 2003 via SPV Records. The follow-up to 2001's "Nation" was recorded and mixed by producer Steve Evetts (SNAPCASE, EARTH CRISIS) at Mosh Studios in São Paulo, Brazil, and was released in Europe in May 2003 through SPV.

Anyone who references Chris Reifert in a song is cool in my book, regardless of musical style.

I wonder what movies he has seen. -_-

This guy has a lot of friends, but he shouldn't rip off Celtic Frost with the title for his new album. Fucking d!ck.

"circle of tyrants" is probably a reference to Obituary, not Celtic Frost.

yall need to forget what you think about rappers. necro cannot be classed into normal musical sub groups. he has his own genre. hes the most evil, sadistic, raw motherfucker out there. he has developed his own style which has origins in metal (necro and his brother Ill Bill were in a metal band when they were kids, im talking 11, which opened up for biohazard, napalm death, and sepultra themselves) then at 13 he switched to rap. That was in 1990. hes been in the rap game since then but has always had very close links to the metal scene. His last album had 7 metal tracks on it ( out of 26).

<<< This guy has a lot of friends, but he shouldn't rip off Celtic Frost with the title for his new album. Fucking d!ck.>>>

Necro didnt rip anybody off. Circle of tyrants isnt just the name of this album, its a rap group which has been around since 1994. Ill bill, Goretex, Mr Hyde, and necro are in this (it used to include Captain carnage.

Yall should peep some of his shit before talking shit

Dont sleep

Necro seems genuine enough to me, he has an honest 'not sell out' approach to his music, I just think he shouldn't use so many other people on his stuff, he needs to find a proper band and stand on his own feet, seems to me like he's using other people to get their fans to buy his albums, I think he would do ok on his own without all the collaborations.
