ABC ePrep is reporting that SLIPKNOT have added an additional August show at the Las Vegas House of Blues. The band are now set to play there on August 21 and August 22, following their sole Ozzfest appearance on August 20 in San Bernardino. At this point, those are the only U.S. shows on the band's itinerary.
As previously reported, SLIPKNOT frontman Corey Taylor told Holland's Toazted.com that he and SLIPKNOT guitarist Jim Root will be entering the studio in January 2006 with their side-project STONE SOUR to record the group's sophomore album, tentatively due next spring/summer via Roadrunner Records.
According to Taylor, the band have written over 30 songs for the follow-up to the group's 2002 self-titled debut, which was certified gold in March 2003 by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for shipments of more than 500,000 copies in the U.S.

this band at Donington not long ago. They were incredible, equal (if not slightly better than) Slayer, which is hard to believe I know....and will probably provoke a few people no doubt...
that's true, on the whole, but Slayer's set was cut a bit short (for some reason or other), and there wasn't much crowd interaction going on...but they were brilliant none-the-less...

I've seen Slayer 3 times...and every time I've walked away disappointed. I love the band's music, but every time I've seen them live it was like they were just going through the motions. No energy, no interaction, and frankly lethargic performances. With the great material they have, they could easily be one of the greatest live bands out there. But they aren't, at least not when I've been there.

the sound is really better on SK's.
I feel exactly like WHITEWATER ^^^^^ above about the Slayer performance. It's great, it's hot, but it's dry.
SK's DVD is addictive.

Sorry, Slipknot sucks! It's sad a band like this can even sell tickets! Musically this band sucks! Don't mind the image but they suck!
ye, unfortunately the Knot could get away with being 7-piece imo. The extra percussionists spend the majority of the time prancing around and stage-diving - and occasionally smacking a steel keg, which isn't necessary really. It's fine to say Slayer>Slipknot or whatever, but really, Mick>Kerry, that much can't be denied...
